I just got Novice last night, and I had enough combat xp to go 0,0,0,3 right away. So, I have most of the speed line, and I am wondering if it reasonable to assume I can use a T21 with sufficient speed to make it worthwhile. What do you think? I appreciate any help you can give.

definitely, get some speed power ups, and youre good to go.

At novice you can use every rifle. Each one has something different to offer. Get to know each creature, their weaknesses and what works best against them.

SG82- Cold low dam but alot of creatures arevunerable to cold dam

Jawa- Stun decent dam and some creatures are vunerable to stun

Laser- Energy AP2 equal dam to T21 faster but only AP2

T21- Energy AP3 slow until Master even with powerups, but high dam and heavy AP

but if i was going to use just one rifle at your position i would go with a laser.

DXR6-B Disrupter baby!!! I have a T21 with a 5.8 speed but I hardly ever use it because I absolutely love the Disrupter. The damage is good, the speed is better, and the HAM costs are lowerbut the big differenceis the range/accuracy mods. On my target I get a +20to +50 from 45-62m. I don't have those kind of accuracy mods with my T21. For that reason I rushed to get Counter sniping IIfor the Disrupter certification andI have been speeding through levels ever since.

Only 3 wpns you use to level with against PvE...

DXR6b - use ir really for Rancor and Geo Caves... anythign else a T21 is better...

Laser - if your to cheap to buy a t21... the med ap, speed, and high dmg make it nice but the spread is too big...

T21 - this is the bread and butter... speed sliced, speed power up, you'll do more dmg per second with these than the laser on things like bols and such... reason why? the damage displayed in combat spam is calculated before resists... REASON you should know this... PvP... shoot your opponent with a DLT20a... says 500 dmg, but only like 5 dmg gets dealt... b/c after resists and such on player... is what counts, yours is just your dmg output... same applies for PvE... dmg output in combat spam is not DMG dealt...

I use T21's all the time... I recommend lvl'ing with an acid rifle on Rancor/Geo Cave b/c its easy... and fast... but if you are not there, really no need to even own an acid rifle... the AP Hvy chews everything up...

I like my t21s but if you are in a group or have a tank use a speed slice Lazer for the much better DPS if you are spamming specials.

The speed powerup/Slice t21 is what i would use if you are using your 3 freebe shots cause of the better damage

Dxr6b = rancor killer

Also if you are using conceal shot to lvl get a Stocked/Adv scope lazer cause it will have MUCH better accuracy than a T21 due to the fact that the T21 one of the very fwe ranged weapons that cant use a scope. I have some lazers with +90ish at ideal and my t21s are +11 or so. Of corse if you can afford it use a DxR6b with imp stock and ADV scope for this as well because it will get up to 114 at ideal or so

definately dxr6b for leveling, counter sniping line is just awesome, deal like 3K damage in area shots, here flies the xp !

at master I don't know, with speed mods, a good T21 should be just awesome.

I disagree on the speed sliced T21. I'm more of a fan of damage sliced with damage powerup. But yes, get qualified with the dxr6b. In the geo caves, this should clean up. Some of the stuff have pretty good resists to energy but low resists to acid. That's why everyone is saying to get this dxr6b.

Just a small side note, if you have that much speed already, I would have to think the t - 21 is your gun. I really like the laser and am useing it now, but the REALLY low min dmg can be a pia sometimes.

For instance when a really pissed off Bordok Mare is charging at you but her heath is down to 500. You have only one shot before she is on top of you smakinyou with theDizzy hoof.All you need is that one shot to be somewhat decent and....DOH! 99 dmg **edit** is that?!

I likemy T-21 more than the laser rifle for the same reason I likemy Dx2 more than the FWG5 or republic blaster - the minimum damage is much higher than that of the predacessor (and they both have one more level of AP than the previous gun.)

Well... T21 is a multi-purpose gun... until you have the Combat Box 3... you fire it so slow you need a speed sliced one with speed power up to fire fast enough to keep up with your group mates... once you hit Combat Box 3... I would switch to either a Damage sliced one... or a Speed sliced one with a damage power up... its just awesome the amount of brute damage you can put out...

In all honesty the Laser is great, but the t21 blows is out of the water... against anything on Dant, Dath, or Endor... the T21 will have better performance than a Laser rifle... The min/max is better and the range modifiers at 50m are better...

The DXR6 is a really costly expensive gun, about 200k on my server... and only really has 2 places that it can be used effectively for alot of EXP... Rancor on Dath or the Geo Caves on yavin... ohterwise the T21 is your best weapon...

Alot of people like Lasers because of hte lower ham cost... it is the lowest of the 3 rifles... but with Buffs and Brandy... mind cost doesn't matter anymore... so that excuse people had at launch is no longer there...

So really, you either do a T21 or a DXR6... my laser just blows up buildings because I don't want to waste hte con on my T21...

I think I am the only insane guy here about to say this. I love the Jawa Ion Rifle at master. I have a Nym Enhanced Jawa that I just adore. I can spam strafe two or HS 3 till im blue int he face and if I'm Taking Moron Gold or Vasarian my mind bar will never lose. The Jawa also works well against Rancors due to the complete and total lack of protection vs. Stun in fact it is one of thier vulns. I also was pleasantly suprised about the amt of creatures in the game that are vulnerable to stun. Please if I'm off kilter guys let me know but Im swearin by the Jawa I havent used my krayt T21 (2nd on Ahazi woohoo) or my Krayt Laser rifle at all.
