Thread: speed and rifle accuracy cap?

i just became master rifleman and im loving it despite all the bugs and 50% useless skills. i skimmed thro the faqs and soem forums but i couldn't find out about speed and accuracy cap. i currently have some tapes that i want to use to make my rifleman very effective. is there a cap in speed like the pistoleer gets at 100 and is there an accuracy cap and while moving as well? sorry if im repeating an old thread but i couldn't find anything on this.

you can only use +25 to any skill with tapes.

for speed anything over 10 points is a waste since 100 speed means you fire at 1.0 no matter what the cost.

accuracy has an effect over 100 but its only practical in PVP. you get pretty much all the accuracy you need for PVE at novice.

okay so for the speed tapes i have to have ones over +25 and for accuracy i can do any tapes?

Ok I am not gonna say that Iknow everything there is to know about rifleman or anything but what bugs and useless skills are you talking about?? Like my sig says I am 3/3/3/3 and I haven't found any bugs that I know about and all the skills seem to work fine for me. Just a little confused I guess.

no heh.


the max ammount u can artificially add to ur skills via tapes armour attachments and BE cloths is +25


so for instance if there was a BE enhancment for rifle speed (which there isnt) and you had one that was +10 and u had a +10 tape and a +10 armour attachment totalling +30 only 25 of it would count. and at master only 10 of the 25 is doing any good since the speed cap is 1.0 and 100 speed will make any weapon of any speed shoot at 1.0. so you would be wasting the 15 extra points.


if you had thos same enhancers but it was accuracy all but 5 would count since there is no known cap for accuracy.

o wow thanks i think i get it. so like get +10 for speed and leave it there and i can do as many accuracy ones as i can without them over lapping

You only actually need +7 speed to cap out any rifle using strafeshot2.


For accuracy and accuracy while moving, try to get +25 in both.

almost heh

any combination of 25 will cap you. like one +3 tape anotehr tape of +7 and a tape of +15. your not required to get enhancers of different types. you can use all tapes or all armour attachments. whatever you find. if you had clothes with enough slots you could get 25 +1 tapes...

Just as an example.


What is posture up for? Totaly useless in pvp and in pve? i rather have stuff postured down so they dont run around.


Take cover? You can use conceal even when standing. And if something uses melee moves you have to get up again.


Bleeds, useless after the last patch.


Dizzy?? only usefull with posture down or KD which we dont get from riflmanskills.


Block? I havent seen it working.


defence vs. Posture up ........hahahahahahhahaha

Well, nice list but one thing off the top of my head, if you have a dizzy on something(one), posture up will KD em. Other than that...meh.

This is absolutely true. Here are the results ofmy weapon with my +97 speed. (My speed is +98, and mygun is really 8.0, not 9.)

Actually that is incorrect, doing a posture up or posture down on a dizziedtarget will not kd them, it only kds when they posture change on their own. So once again that would make posture up useless, if they are dizzy why help them stand, usually you want to make them kneel or prone then run out of range and make them posture up on their own thus giving a CHANCE to kd them. Your statement is a common misconception though.
