Thread: Rifle Progression. CDEF then...?

Back when the game first came out Istartedplaying as a Rifle wielding Scoutbut then switched over to Pistolwhen I made Creature Handler as the Health specials meshed better with the damage my pets were doing. Since I was still shooting a a 25-55 CDEF halfway through Rifle 4 of Marksman (go ahead and laugh, there were no weaponsmiths those first couple of weeks
) I never really studied the higher level rifles and was curious about what people would suggest a good progression of weapons would be.

My interest is in hunting animals PvE and without doctor or food/drugbuffs so nothing with outrageous HAM costs please. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you want low HAM you need an E11 but even that will drain your mind fast when you get better speed mods.

Thank you for the advise. Starting an alt on a new server and was looking at getting back to my original plan of a Rifleman/Ranger.

CDEF->DLT20a->Laser (Spraystick, Jawa Ion)->T21->DXR-6b
A nice fishbone diagram of what I did. You get Spraystick same time you get the Laser, so you can use both. Then you get the Jawa Ion at Rifles 4 but its not a mainstay like the Laser, then T21.

Get a nice Dlt20--not Dlt20A. I have one that does 127-210 damage at 3.5 speed. Much better than a cdef, and much better than any "A" models I've seen. You're already qualified for it at marksman, so you can't go wrong. At rifles 2, get yourself a nice stocked laser rifle. I still use mine, though I also rely on my Tenloss.
SG82? Nah. I only use my t21 for krayts, thus preserving its condition.

A lot of people seem to overlook the Tusken Rifle Cert you get at Rifles 1, It may be a little slower than a DLT20a but you can usually get them with higher Min / Max damage and AP1. They aren't expensive and most importantly..
The look and sound so cool

DLT20 and DLT20a are identical except for cert location. I bet you can't find any decent A because there's no reason to make them any more since there's an identical rifle with a lower cert, so all the ones you find are several months old.
