Thread: Any other masters that use headshot2 over headshot3

I play unbuffed and unarmored 98% of the time. For that reason, I find headshot2 to be much more economical ham cost wise.Even when I am brandied up,I seem to notice my mindpool drops fairly quickly using headshot3. That x7 vs x5 multiplier really wracks me.

I see lots of posts here where people talk about using 3. Was just wondering if there were any others out there who find the2.5x vs 3xdamage for 5x vs 7x mind costto not be worthwhile, even at master.

unless I'm overdosing on food/spice/mind buffs, I use headshot2.

of course, a hootman might do differently, since they can pull a base of 1100 in any stat they so choose.

of course, if I'm even targetting the mind pool, I'm probably doing endgame content with a group... and I AM overdosing on mind enhancements.

well i play buffed 98% of the time (mind buff 80%), and allways with lots of food!

So i only use headshot3!

My mind stats are pumped up so I only use headshot 3. Usually my mind pool is around 1600+ with Power Boost (Human) without buffs. If I get daners / musician buffs or even use some muon, I can spam headshot 3's all day. In PvP DPS is king and mind dps is a demi-god. Higher numbers usually = more pvp wins for you.

Actually if unbuffed, I found that while hs2 goes easier on the mind, it tears up health and action, while hs3 does the opposite. Granted that you can have a couple of drinks andget high, thus negate the mind cost while unbuffed, hs3 is more viable.

I agree that hs2 tears up health and action more. My stats are adjusted so mind has enough of an advantage to recoup, but even with two brandies it can tear me up on an extended hunt. (oh ya, i also play unbuffed and unarmored 98% of the time). If your hunting and something does manage to agro you hs3 and simple stimpacks work very well vs most mid-level creatures.

HS3 - Of course being a wook all I need is a litle brandy and I'm fine. most 5k mobs don't know thier being attacked until thier head is blown off.

My Minds stats are set to 1100/1100/800. If I am unbuffed, I will likely use HS3 if I plan on using just one or two shots. If I think that 5+ will be needed or if I will have to deal with a group of mobs, I'll use HS2. However, with high Focus, it takes very little(one Vasarian Brandy if unarmored) to make my Mind cost 0 for all specials. In that case, it's either HS3 or SS2 until I'm finished. If you want to make your own Mind cost 0, just get your Focus up to 1600(sometimes it's a bit less or a bit more depending on your rifle's Mind cost).

im rarely buffed, and im a twielk.. so unlike kezia the human nub, i stick to low ham weapons and use headshot3, or use headshot2 with my jawa rifle, really depends on the situation though...

Hey! I was always Human- even when the stats were capped at 800 or whatever it was

Goodpoint on the Jawa. I've started using that a lot in PvE whenever resists and AR are low across the board(as they usually are for weaker mobs). Its HAM cost is less than half of my other rifles, while the damage is more than half

I also play 95% of the time unbuffed, and perhaps 50% of the unarmoured... just dont want to stand in those big cue's.

I would believe if you merge your stats, so you can recover faster from HS3, AND buffs yourself, would be the best way

I'm a Zabrak, so my current focus of 500 is maxed.... Tough to hit the magic number fo 1600 when you have such a gap to bridge. Maybe if I tweak my other stats I can compensate for the health and action hits, then I'd need less stim hits which would reduce mind drain as well... Dunno.

Anyway, thanks for all the feedback. Was just curious if I was the only oddball. Seems I'm not alone, just in the minority, but thats where I like to be anyway.
