Thread: Best place/method to level RM FAST

any suggestions....?


I've heard about quenker missions and the Geo Caves.....but what is the new hotspot, and what do you all suggest as far as which trees/skills to get first?

i listened to the advice about quenkers, so i got some comp armor a good set of T-21's and a good las rifle. got buffed and bought brandy.(did'nt buy everything all at once)

once i was fully buffed(dancer,musician and doc) went to dant to kill some quenkers.

checked the mission term and could'nt see quenker missions so i did some picket plains walker missions for 9k.


i was getting 3335k rifle xp per kill. now keep in mind that on a lair you get about 6-9 creatures spawning.

ok so it takes me a while cause the pickets always charge into melee range but with the doc buff eats up the damage and you hardly lose any health, plus the brandy on top of the ent buff gives you a good couple of headshots and mindshots.

because i kill everything i see on my way to a lair(on foot) it takes me a while to get there so i can do about 4 missions per buff. with a payout of 8-9k creds per mission.


there are also other missions for hurtons and voritor lizards but pickets give the best xp i think.

ohhh and after 2 seesions of this i'm now a rifleman 2/0/0/1 and just a few xp short of 3/0/0/1

when i started this i was a straight novice.

An often overlooked location for grinding Rifleman XP is Rori and Talus. Especially if you are doing so without armor or buffs. Don't forget to group with a pet/droid at least to get the XP bonus.

My advice after having just reached master rifleman recently is to find a good speed sliced T21, put all rifle xp into counter sniping until CS3 and all combat into Rifle Abilities. Once you have Flusing shot 2 - get huurton stalker missions and FS2 the lair with buffs and brandy...you should be able to get 25-30k rifle xp per mission in about 5 mins each. This isn't my idea, several have mentioned this, and it worked for me.

As far as leveling, I suggest xx3x first, then 4x3x and then 443x and finally 444x - level the 4th column, rifle abilities as often as possible using combat xp from anything.

my best advice would be....



if you have a different mastered combat proff, max out on combat exp,.then use the combat exp to get rifle 0/0/0/3 thats a +30 rifle speed wich helps a ton


do buffs/solo group/brandy and get the 5k payout quenker missions thats 5 quenkers per stage of the lair.


make shure mind/focus/willpower is maxed.


speed powerups help a bit.


when you engage the lair, go prone at about 70m away and use headshot3. you have about 8 seconds before he charges you

Are there any NPC missions that have lots of high-xp MOBs that mostly use ranged weapons (so they won't always close to melee range)? Is this a bad Idea because they won't respawn?

Giant Baz Natch missions for 11k on Dath. You get 4700-5k per if your grouped with a pet. about 7 or 8 spawn and they have a low resistance to acid.

I prefer hunting Hurrtons. Depending upon the type of Huurton you hunt, you can actually get more xp per kill than the pikets. Pikets are great for leveling, but IMO, they take too long to kill, so the math doesn't work out. When I was leveling, I would much rather do missions that pay a bit less in terms of money and xp and take less time to complete, but that's just me. If you like hunting Pikets, go for it, but I think that as far as Dantooine is concerned, the quenkers and huurtons are the better pick.


And for some reason, quenker missions seem to be a rare find on the terminals nowadays. Even in small hunting groups (non-solo) the missions just don't seem to pop as much as they used to.

i like nym pirates personally. if your buffed in comp they are easy and pay 18k or so. got 100k or more exp in less than an hour. they use ranged weapons and about 3 shots cantake them down before they agro you. geo caves are great too but are heavily camped
