Thread: Please discuss here the signifigance of Defensive acuity and its roll in overall defense

I am totally unaware of the application of defensive acuity and how it is applied to general defense.
I would be most greatfull for a link to a defense discussion or an explaination here.

Defensive Acuity is your chance to randomly use either Block, Dodge, or Counterattack. I think TKAs are the only ones with this skill and you do have to be unarmed or have VKs equipped for it to work if I'm not mistaken(Also, if not mistaken, TKAs consider this to be broken still?)

you are not mistaken. it is an unarmed skill that only takes effect when unarmed... except that it doesn't work.

Yep. Problem is that TKA's have no Secondary defense. So this skill is pretty much useless. Same situation with Center of Being for the same reason. Personaly it seems that both CoB and DA are the same skill.
DA might be useful if it were able to stack with other professions. However since it's actually Unarmed Defense Acuity, thatdoesn't appear to bethe case.
