Would it be easier for me to finish Pikeman first, then finish up Rifleman or vice versa?

I finish up TKM first then my Rifle. The thing is what I did was I went Rifle 1/0/1/1 and then I stopped to level my TKM (I wanted them to finish at around the same time). However being TKM is really easy to level, I got my TKM first then from Rifle 1/0/1/1 get my Rifleman.

One thing for sure levelling Rifleman IMO is harder than other melee proffs. You use concealshot, but early level Rifle are soooo slooowwww. And when conceal fails, and your shot attract ALL of your opponents you pretty much have to switch to melee if you dont wanna die because holding a Rifle gives a to-hit bonus to your opponents.

So maybe go level your Pike first. If you failed concealshot you dont have to run cuz you at least have good PvE protection in Pikeman.

its always seemed that melee was faster to lvl... but i think the kicker will be your combat exp trees, thats where your speed is... if you do pikes first, use the rifle to finish off the mob when it warps 50m away when just about dead, saves alot of walking time...

I can just see a "Wait for the Combat Revamp" and "Wait for the Smuggler Revamp" quote all rolled into one.

Smuggbat, I like that

id finish pike, and use it till you have enough combat xp from pike to train upsomthing likexxx3 rifleman.on a new toon i recently made,i tried doing rifleman first before tk and it was horrible. im now concentrating on nothing but the tk part of my template, and saving up combat xp after i make tkm.

Save your combat xp before you level rifles, it goes much smoother.

I am MRM and TKM now, and I've mastered rifles first and without any more trouble than I did TKM, the great advantage that tkm had over rifles was having an AOE attack early in the training, but if you know what to hunt and what to hunt it with. I leveled my rifles the same why I did TKM, with the same mobs in the same place, in about the same time.

TKM: Spinattack 1 with vK, hunting Feral Banthas on Tat

MRM: Pointblank Area with spraystick, hunting Feral Banthas on Tat

Amen. Absolutely finish off melee first, then bank a good sized chunk of combat xp. I made the boneheaded move of doing Rifles first, then TK. Huge mistake. I seriously considered renaming the character Kenny. South Park is the only other place where the same person dies sooften.

On the plus side, I am now loving Master Rifle/Master TK. A pair of headshots, a single mob pulls....a couple thwaps with unarmed head hit, rinse, repeat. Pretty efficient way of doing those Mokk Shaman runs.
