I was just looking at this and am wondering why we have this. You are not granted the Aim command anywhere in rifleman only in ranged support. So why do we have +aim modifiers in the riflman tree. It really doesnt make any sense.

To be honest I will miss just as often with aim as I will without it.

Yeah, but why do we have it? We get mods in rifleman for an ability isnt granted unless we goto something that isnt required. Thats like pistoleers getting rifle speed. It doesnt make sense.

Aim does improve your chance to hit. I used it a lot grinding up the tree. It is built into most of my combat macros. I understand it even stacks, but I can't prove that. It wouldn't be too hard to test, however.

Yeesh, who ever thought up the concept of aiming with a rifle? =)

Go prone, aim, headshot, repeat. You get aim as level 1 weapon support in marksman. It's an optional skill, but if you don't take it, you are not going to be an efficient rifleman.

I actually use aim and it helps a lot. Sometimes it stinks with the time delay but I would imagine once you reach high level rifle, you don't have to worry about time delay as much, more you have to worry about is actually hitting.

/aim does stack. Very useful in the right circumstances.

I'm not questioning its usefulness. Im just asking why we have something that isnt a part of our tree. It is granted from range support. So why are we getting mods for a skill we are not required to have. Been thinking of dropping ranged support and realized I would lose all my +aim mods in sniping.

your missing the post of this guy's post.... he explained it 3 times, and each time it made more and more sence "unlike my spelling" he wants to understand why he has to give up points for a skill from a tree that is not used to become a rifleman, and i would like to know the same thing, its almost like Dev's pay people to kill people's post that show them how stupid they are sometimes

now you could say Marksman should have that, since every one just about has marksman as a skill, so every one should have to poor in the same ammount of skill points to even it out in a crazy way.... i think that is such a lazy answer.

I'm a rifleman, really now what rifleman do you know that misses? i don't they SNIPE you from a mile away and aim for your head and in 1 shot your dead b4 you new you where alive, so move AIM to rifleman tree? maybe thats even pushing it maybe all the marksman ranged skills should be for everything buy a rifleman, rifleman go with scouting skill's we are like BH with out the ..... whats the word i'm looking for...."knowledge of the world" we should know area's and be able to move fast... i understand SL should be faster then every one eles, but there could be a small advance for us... i mean there are tons of small things that could be done, but for every good thing, something bad must happen, thats the shame, i mean when you get jumped by a FlameT i have died in 1 hit many times already, and 2 hit eyeshotspam that i hit the group b4 i new i was hit the frist time "LOL" anyhow i am going to stop talking b4 i get into it, in a nut shell, he has a good question, i have never seen it posted here b4, i think its a good topic

Actually i think all 3 classes have +aim modifiers for their weapons, they just aren't as big.

If 2 skill points are all you're worried about , it must be nice. Currently to be an effective combat medic you have to master the doctor crafting line because all of your experimentation points for the sub components are in that tree.

Well, think of it this way. You can pay a few skill points for the ability to improve your chance to hit with ANY weapon.

They are not taking anything from rifleman, they are giving something to everyone with some marksman skill.

A different spin? Well, think of it as giving you the option to use your rifle faster, though less accurately, while saving you a few skill points.

It's a skill based system, not class based. Mix and match as best you can.

Slightly off topic but only slightly...

Has ANYONE found a use for the Roll To X commands? If I roll to prone I must wait a century before doing any special. Seems like a total waste to me... Sense the suppress got nerfed, I'm considering dropping all but AIM to get me higher in the rifle and sword trees.
