Thread: How much faster are you as a Master?

I'm sure I saw this somewhere before, but after quite a bit of searching I have been unable to find it.

What I'm wondering is, is there an equation to figure out how much faster you will fire a blaster, with for example 7.5 speed, when you are a Master Rifleman and the skill mods come into play? Is there some sort of equation to find this out or are we able to just say that for every +10 rifle speed you will fire _._ seconds faster?

i don't know all the math involved, but i do a master headshot every second with a laser rifle. pretty sure its like that for any gun i use. i have noticed adv strafe is a little slower sometimes, but still close to 1 shot every second

All I can say is wow. Anything up to a 5.0dps is down to 1.5 for me right now (4/4/4/3)

Actual speed = weapon_speed * shot_penalty * (( 1 - rifle speed) * .01)

So if you have a laser rifle at speed 5.6
And you are firing Headshot 3's (time penalty x2.0 ??)
And say yourrifle speed modifier is +75

Then Actual speed = 5.6 * 2.0 * ((1 - 75) * .01) = 2.8 seconds/shot

At master, rifle accuracy = +90 (if not master marksman) or +95 (if master marksman), so...

Actual speed (+90) = 5.6 * 2.0 * .10 =1.12 seconds/shot

Actual speed (+95)= 5.6 * 2.0 * .05 = .56 seconds.shot, but 1 sec.cap so 1 sec/shot

Sorry.... That should be "(100 - rifle speed) * .01"

Basically you subtract your rifle speed modifier from 100 and that is the percent speed increase you apply.

So at +40, you are firing at 60% of (base speed * shot penalty)
So at +50, you are firing at 50% of (base speed * shot penalty)
etc.
If you are just doing normal "attack" (no special shots) then just multiply the % times the base weapon speed (i.e., the shot_penalty = 1, so ignore it)

Im gonna say its way faster! The last box to usually get filled right before master is the special abilities 4, so in effect you get that last box (+10 speed) and the master box (+20 speed) at the same time usually so in effect you get a +30 speed boost, which is what you get for almost all of your grinding +30 by the time you get special abilities 3.I think this is why poeple say we suck until we get master. cause as i go up I get +10, then another +10, then another +10 then finally +30. big jump.

I was supposed to test some of the shots, but, ended up helping a friend level (mind bleeds work wonders, don't ya know). Anyway, I did notice that one of the surpise shots I got off last night was higher then 4x. It was actually 4.4 and the mob was running towards me at the time. I actually landed 3 shots that where over 4 (well, that I took note of).

Has anyone verified that Flury2 hits X4 and is the same damage as Flushing2? I'm trying to work out a stratagy where the speed and damage is ok and I can keep my sword and Master Ranger. I was hearing Flury2 was not as good, but that is where the speed is.
