Thread: How much faster are you as a Master?
I'm sure I saw this somewhere before, but after quite a bit of searching I have been unable to find it.
What I'm wondering is, is there an equation to figure out how much faster you will fire a blaster, with for example 7.5 speed, when you are a Master Rifleman and the skill mods come into play? Is there some sort of equation to find this out or are we able to just say that for every +10 rifle speed you will fire _._ seconds faster?
Actual speed = weapon_speed * shot_penalty * (( 1 - rifle speed) * .01)
So if you have a laser rifle at speed 5.6
And you are firing Headshot 3's (time penalty x2.0 ??)
And say yourrifle speed modifier is +75
Then Actual speed = 5.6 * 2.0 * ((1 - 75) * .01) = 2.8 seconds/shot
At master, rifle accuracy = +90 (if not master marksman) or +95 (if master marksman), so...
Actual speed (+90) = 5.6 * 2.0 * .10 =1.12 seconds/shot
Actual speed (+95)= 5.6 * 2.0 * .05 = .56 seconds.shot, but 1 sec.cap so 1 sec/shot
Sorry.... That should be "(100 - rifle speed) * .01"
Basically you subtract your rifle speed modifier from 100 and that is the percent speed increase you apply.
So at +40, you are firing at 60% of (base speed * shot penalty)
So at +50, you are firing at 50% of (base speed * shot penalty)
etc.
If you are just doing normal "attack" (no special shots) then just multiply the % times the base weapon speed (i.e., the shot_penalty = 1, so ignore it)
where can i find the info for the special attacks time penalties? thanks

Has anyone verified that Flury2 hits X4 and is the same damage as Flushing2? I'm trying to work out a stratagy where the speed and damage is ok and I can keep my sword and Master Ranger. I was hearing Flury2 was not as good, but that is where the speed is.
