Thread: No rifleman nerf eh? Think again
I guess I am the only one who noticed that HeadShot3 is now 1/2 to 1/4 of the damage it used to be then. With a 570 dmg T21 I am getting 1000-2000 damage when I use headshot three. I used to break 4000. Highest I see now is 2K, but most shots are in the low 1000's. And if you use take cover, the damage goes down. I didn't have a single shot over 970 after takingcover. This is why doing a single massive update 1 time a month is so utterly pathetic. No doubt tomorrow we will see a new update that gets rid of half of the current updates. The coding staff is horrible.
I noticed that versus anunarmored Imperial NPC with resistance to energy at 10%, I did a head shot 2 using my T21for a combat spam of 1045, but the floatie number was 840. I have screenshots of all this.
So it appears they have changed more in the combat system than they told us.
Did they reduce the effectiveness of Head Shot 2 and 3 to make their revamped surprise shot seem better?
Is this change across the board, so that we now have a REASON to have super high damage T21 rifles? (cause AP isn't giving extra damage like it has been)
Give me my god damned DLT20a - Looks like that will be my weapon of choice from now on.
So far, my way of life is completely changed. I'll figure out how to cope, but right now I'm fuming that I can't take outone of the white con imps in my missions before they allkill me - while wearing armor and a personal shield generator 43%, where I could raze a whole camp before(given some strategy) with no armor at all. As it is, I'm dying with some blue bar left to me, so I know I'm not the one killing me.
I'm going to test my AP0 pistol out to see if it's doing the same damage as before, then I will test out my DLT. 'Cause if I'm not doing much more damage with my Laser or T21 than I'm doing with my DLT, then there is no reason to use them.
Oh yeah, and I noticed earlier that I didn't get xp for a bantha that died from a bleed after it put me in a coma. I can deal with that, xp for being incapped is kind of cheap, especially when you use it as a tool ![]()
The problem with making too many changes at one time, is that if something goes wrong - which change made it happen?

I know you still get exp for a bleed when it dies after you are incapped, I got some last night. What suprised me is I went out for a normal mammien mission to pick up some cash while I was waiting for my friends to get there, (the droid at the ticket counter kept stealing their tickets but didn't let them on the shuttle) and now it seems mammiens group attack. I decided to hit a youth first in case it warped on me because of an incline and sure enough it did and brought all his friends with him. The bleed did kill him and I got full exp though.
But as far as that goes it doesn't seem like my laser rifle is working right. I haven't been able to do any dmg with my laser rifle unless I use mindshot or headshot. I got in a duel waiting for a shuttle with a master CH and made him dizzy and then supressed him like normal, but his bars didn't move at all. At first I though he had some crazy armor, or enhancements and figured I would just die. I switched to my pistol to save my blue bar for heals and noticed he took dmg like normal. Then I decided to just let my spraystick hit him without spamming specials and he dropped like a rock (while incapped heproceded to tell me I was lucky his best creature was hurt). Maybe he was lucky my laser rifle didn't work, or that I didn't want him to miss the transport ship so I didn't use one hs or mind shot.
Sorry I didn't get any screen shots or figures, I didn't realize what was going on till I went out hunting and by that time my group had given up getting to Yavin and I was about to log out. Anybody else have something like this happen or should I just go buy a new rifle? (Once the shuttles are fixed that is, seems I'm stuck on Yavin now :smileyvery-happy![]()
