Thread: bleed shot
I've heard people mentioning a bleed shot for rifle. Can someone post what this specialty shot is, and what skill and weapon are needed to do it

Its called Mindshot.
It drains the target's mind pool. It's the 4th Rifles box in Marksmen.
Damage depends on what your initial damage was. Say you pop off mindshot1(distracting shot) for 600 dmg, the next tick cycle it will do 600 damage again and so on until it wears off. Mindshot2(mind bender shot) seems to last about 1.5 times longer than mindshot1. Oh, the initial shot does not do any real damage even though the combat screen and numbers over the target's head say otherwise, they do not. Damage caps for them appear to be the same as the damage cap on headshot1 and headshot2, headshot3 isn't that great of a boost from 2 but mindshot2 hasn't hit as hard as headshot3 for myself before.

Have some questions on Bleeds.
Do additional MindShots add to the DoT ? Or does the latest shot damage take precedence?
Seems like an update on this topic would be useful. If there is a well laid out doc somewhere can somebody post the link?
Thanks!!

You can stack different bleeds. For example you can hit someone with Mindshot1 and Minshot2. Each bleed will take effect when it "ticks". So you can double bleed the same pool using this technique and is useful for the novice ranged combatclasses. You can even combine other types such as Healthshot and Mindshot. Though they will bleed different pools.
If you hit someone with the same bleedshot, say Mindshot1, more than once. What will happen is this. Which ever bleed is doing the most damage will be the one that takes effect. So if you hit with three mindshot1's and you get damage of 234, 1014, and 895. Each time it ticks it will do the 1014. Watch your combat window. It will tell you the "raw" amount of damage each shot is doing. The number may be different than actual damage because of armor level of the target and the armor piercing value of the weapon.
Hope this helps some.
