Thread: Rifleman Mind Attack Masters?
We are the mind attack specialists correct? That is why our attacks take so much ming to execute?
No other proffesion has attacks that drain 150 mind per use.. Granted each proffesion is different, some drain health, some action.
Combat medics for one can attack from 91 m out with a single use poison.. 91m out! what about rendering? what about how its impossible for anything to attack farther then 64m? hmmm? thats a one time shot they do and it would tick 200 mind off every 10 seconds... Unless everyone chooses doctor as their second proffesion your basically dead even if you kill the combat medic.. Its a balance issue for rifleman not being able to attack farther because we can kite people? what about CM's kiting from 91m out?
AOE mind poison being used at 68-72m out.. with a radius of 26m.. thats 200 clicks per person in that radius every 10 seconds.. unless everyone picks up doctor as their second proffesion everyone will die.. CM's do this to mind usually because you cant heal mind.. I fail to see how rifleman are exclusive in dealing mind dmg or are masters at doing this.. Also, poison isnt effected by the 75% pvp cap which this should be..
Obviously we arent because we dont have any AOE mind DOTS... we have single shot only.. Also, most of our shots are random ham usage...
Will anyone hear our cry? Thunderheart perhaps? Maybe our rifleman correspondant?
Our issues in brief format:
1. 64m range cap is total BS and a lie.. we need this increased..
2. Make Strafeshot2 hit the mind more often
3. We should almost be exclusive for being able to do mind attacks and MIND DOT attacks
4. Give us a AOE mind bleed attack, or remove CM mind poison

We are being punished for hitting the unhealable mind poll though we don't even bother with doing this when we are master cause strafe2 keeps us going longer and does more damage.

ok i don't know how many times this has been brought up the mind damage and our AOE shots,
face it where not the only class that can deal mind, if you want to use the mind attacks fine but i pitty you. Last night in a group of 9 on dath after 2 missions i had made the most weapons (50k+)exp in the group by useing AOE random ham attacks, the advantage to using these attacks in group situation is you are attacking the sameHAM pools as 90% of the group and you are a team player.
plz for the love of god could everyone stop bitching about how "unfair" rifleman isbeing treated yes rifleman is hard but not impossible.
o and btw could someone plz show mewhereSWG rep/dev has said something about the 3 sec rifle cap? frist time i heard about thatwas in a thread titled "Sniper Rifle"... so inless (which the may well have)someone with authiorty has said something about it someones just making all the noobs paranoide.
Gottimus rifleman are more infantry support masters, want a good example. whatch attack of the clones that big big battle during the end see those Strom Troopers with the REALLY big rifles, while those are T-21 and the stormtroopers are riflemen.
considering SS2 is a AOE, and can hit up to 6 ppl at once, is that not enough?
the idear behind AOE medic mind attacks is that it is a gas cloud that attacks the nervous systems of those infected.
an AOE mind attack.... the normal AOE attacks "spray and prey" to hita target in the mind with this method seeing how the devs love us ....
and like i said before if i was a pistolmen or carbinare why would i want a rifleman in the group that doesn't even attack the same pools as everyone else. He's really just wasted space.
and master riflemen use strafeshot2 anyway which hits random pools (meaning health and action get hit more often than mind, mostly health gets hit) beacuse of its higher damage
so there goes the big "riflemen get all these disadvantages because they hit an unhealable pool" argument that Holo threw at us. Plus combat medics are going to be able to heal mind, too.
After gaining Strafe 2 at master, I hit the 900krifle exp cap the day after.
In PvE, in a group,a Master Riflemen and Strafe 2 is unmatched.
