Does it just one shot things? Different for creatures, NPCs and in PvP?

Or does it just do a ranged deathblow to an already incappacitated player?

I think it does 50 dama

It'sa ranged DB. If you use it on non incapped things it does around 50 damage.

That doesn't seem useful.

it has it's time and place, as do all things. but rest assured, it's incredibly useful.

picture this: you're in a group of raiding imps/or rebs - there's five of you. you're the only rifleman. you come across a group of enemies, one of them is a combat medic. you open up on them, the first enemy gets incapped at 30m away , everyone is too busy to run within 5m andDB him -(PVP combat is incredibly intense and hairy) so what do you do? you user your /snipershot and DB the dude before that combat medic can heal him (realistically, you took out the combat medic first anyways!) there. he's gone. u move on to the next and no one had to break stride to DB.

lets say you're a rebel, and some imp with an atst in tow is attacking you. you strafeshot2 his composite-wearing behind with your trust jawa, all the while you're kiting that ATST at about 75m (it runs behind the imp) - you /snipershot the imp all the while you're still out of range of that atst. -at which point you burst run. lol.(this is a real-world experience).

you're overt running through anchorhead or bestine, you see an enemy, you run at eachother blasting away at max range - you incap him by the time you hit 30m and /snipershotto end it- the next overt is already on your scope coming at you - you're ready for him because you didn't have to waste time trying to get within 5m of the incapped player to DB...

see?

nevermind the style points of 4 shotting a composite wearing dude and DB'ing him before he hits the ground you'll get quite a few "how did you DB me from out there?!" luv it!

It's one of my favorite rifleman skills.

It'spointless in PvE, but then conceal shot is pointless in PvP. Both skills have their place and I'd miss them both.

heh, the players on Tarquinas must be a bit more understanding about people "stealing" their kills. I always wear one of my Rifleman titles, im not the person who runs around with a novice marksman title up, I like to show off my achievement

But anyways, I've done that before so that people cant get healed up, but then after the battle... sometimes right in the middle of it. I'll have another rebel run up to me and start screaming at me because I stole their kill

I tend to stick those kinds of people on ignore. They would soon complain if you sat there and watched them die, then killed the person that killed them. I don't DB for the FP, I do it so my side wins the fight.

Anyone who complains to a rifleman about a DB should be thrown into the Sarlaac Pit. Before you get sniper shot 99% of your incapps get stolen from you and after you have sniper shot you still lose more than 50% to people to are standing near your target and DB them. I am not complaining about that, I'm just saying they should stop crying about it when we actually get a DB instead of just receive them
