I was curious about the timer. Is the 30 sec timer after the moment you use this shot regardless of posture change. Or does the timer only kick in if the posture change was succesful? either way, I am having a hard time getting this shot to do anything other then inform me "You were unable to change your targets posture" over and over. As a side note, I usually PvE, so maybe the creatures do not have a kneeling "graphic" or whatchamacallit, but are however indeed been lowerd to kneeling? Any feedback, advice or heck I'm so tired I'd settle for some nice warm Flaming

Supression fiire only works on players and NPC's. I don't know of any creatures that will do a posture change. It does also freeze the target in place for a second or two. That part works on creatures. Pretty useful if you are trying to get separation from them.

"When I was a kid growing up, I remember my parents always telling me, "Dont go near the cellar door..." Well one day I noticed the door was open just a bit, and I just had to see what was in there, even if it killed me. I walked up to the door, and swung it open, and saw Strange wonderful Beautiful things!! like trees, grass, the Sun!! That was nice..."

Ok thank you so Much, that makes so much sense to me now. So planning ahead and using supression fiire and Flurry type shots on Creatures will not achieve the effect I would be looking for. The "Watch the target fall down play Drunken monkey while I sip my coffee and Light a smoke effect".Am Icorrect in this assumption?

Yea it won't do that against creatures. Against NPC's it does work like that (though they tend to fall down only when they get back up not when you force them into a kneeling position) It works against players to, much better than it does against NPCs who tend to clear the dizzy state too quickly (I think that is supposed to be fixed in this new patch coming up)

It does make creatures kneel, you just dont see the animation for it, but look at your targets ham bars (topleft) and you see its position change, this can be useful when running from a creature and you make it pause for a few moments so you get some more distance. Although dizzy wont make them fall over.

I kept trying this last night on Pikets. I'd only get on position change out of 20 tries... and when it did, it got right back up. What is going on here? If it wasn't for the damage I'd have just not bothered.

the timer is per attempt, not per success. it's also per posture change, not per posture change down.

also, keep in mind that if you're a CH, several pets have a posture down attack. their abilities also count as attempts. so, if your graul mauler is attacking your target, chances are you're wasting a suppress.

the same holds true for other players. many other skills have posture change effects, like actionshot for example.

all of these activate the 30s timer.
