Thread: Sniper Shot: new use?

In all good games, there is a counter for every action taking by your opponent. This is the premise that I'm going on here.

Make sniper shot work on players that have fiegned death. A player in PvP that has fiegned death becomes immobile but unattackable. A cheap way for them to avoid being DBed IMO.

The proposed change would be that sniper shot doesn't automatically DB them, but that it'll hit for the 50 damage on them to a random pool. In essence making them attackable, but only in a weak way. Chances are that it'll still take a couple of hits to kill a feigned death opponent, and they'll probably be able to get back up and attack. It does however, negate their invinciblility and act as a counter to the special move.

Also, I don't think this makes sniper shot overly powerful or unbalancing. The damage is weak and it was always meant to hit a player that was on the ground incapped.

Umm last time I tried I could attack someone who was using FD. Felt sorry for the guy after the whole group started shooting him up.

Have they changed it since then?

I have been unable to attack a FD person as was my groupmate. That's why I've suggested this.

Wierd, I just asked a master smuggler in myguild and he says you can be flamed, poisoned, diseased and generallyshot upwhile using FD.

Anyone else find they can/can't attack people using FD?

I've never tried poison/disease. I'll try to get a CM next time I face one, but you are unable to shoot them with "regular" attacks.

well I've never tried to attack someone who has feigned death, but you should definitely be able to. I mean if a smuggler can feign death toplayers, then a rifleman should be able to conceal/surprise shoton a player, a ranger should be able to camoflauge and hide on others radars, etc. Certain skills just dont work on players...I wish they did.

Were they attacked on the ground or just poisoned/diseased/bled prior to feigning?

It'd rather see Snipershot gain some kind of PvE ability. Maybe a double status effect and 3X or 4X damage. Or make it basically a Headshot4 with dizzy and stun. PvE only of course. Leave it as is for PvP. I'd just want to see it have some use for those of us that don't PvP.

Haha, yes you are still attackable when you are feigned dead. Just not DBable. So it's a bad idea in a 1v1 fight, since once you feign they're gonna bleed you and do whatever they can to leave you with wounds.

Feign death is useful in a larger battle, when the enemy is not going to focus on roughing you up because there are still more people left in the battle.
