I just turned master, and wanna try out a little PVP. Whats the best rifle in your opinion? And whats the best skill to use, you think? I know Strafe Shot 2 is a killer, but should I be going for headshots.

I also know different situations require different tactis / weapons, but I dont know which situation calls for what.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

If you use a spray stick and just hammer HS3, even with the misses you take down the mind real fast. Plus they cant heal it, lol yesterday I saw a kid try to drag anothers corpse (which I had just killed) into a house so I couldnt DB him. Sucka the new patch took care of that, seeing that you cannot enter a house as overt or with a TEF. Anyone else have ideas in PvP im interested. Ciga thanks for training me last night btw.

Umm, once you master speed doesn't matter too much. Depending on your server I'd get either a damage sliced T21 or Laser (Make sure you get low HAM) and a Jawa Ion gun is a must because alot of people wear composite which is weak to stun.

I"ve had success in PVP with both the T21 and a Laser rifle. Using strafeshot1 to start out but after that your speed will punish them especially if they are having to move closer to get a good shot at you (commandos)

I only use headshots on targets with already low mind where I have a chance to do a one shot kill.

strafe2 with a dmg sliced and dmg/mind powerup - T21, Laser, or Jawa. that's all ya need (as was mentioned).

headshots are nice for really weak minds, but otherwise, i find strafe2 does an excellent job. and get a helmet for use against BH's. (always try and /ex(amine) your targets, look at what gun they're holding - if it's a LLC or scatter, he's obviously a BH. if it's an FWG5, probably a pistoleer and you don'thave to worry about eyeshot as much. helmet can't hurt though, if your stats can support it - or pop a muon gold).

i usually don't bother with bleeds - with the shot or two it takes to stick on a bleed, i could have killed them with Strafe2.

The /ex thingy also helps figuring out what armor your target wears. If he wears composite, get the jawa, if he doesn't, use your favorite other gun.

doh, yeah, exactly Mike - forgot to mention that.

also - put your cursor over their ham bars (in the top right, or wherever their ham is located on your screen) - if they're buffed out the wazoo, target a different pool.

Pretty effective. 0 HAM drain, they give you all your health back when used, and they clear all your states such as disease, fire, bleed, etc....

High accuracy, good damage.

The only downside is that you dont always get to control when you can use it. Usually it is activated in PvP whenever a bounty hunter, commando or creature handler gets within a 64 meter radius of you.

I assume you will be using headshot3.

Based on my own testing,

Strafe2 dmg is greater than Headshot3.
Strafe2 used less mind pool than Headshot3.
Strafe2 rate of fire is slower than Headshot3. (Even when the weapon speed is capped with your rifle speed bonus)

Like other poster here, the weapon for PvP is T21 and Jawa Ion Rifle.

You do need Power Up (PU) and mourn gold is good have too.

For my own preference, I use 32% Mind 16% Min dmg PU for my T21 and 32% Max Dmg 16% Min dmg PU for my Jawa Ion.

I am only 2002 rifelman(and master carbinier) but i killed several BHs and commandos just by giving them a mind bleed and stay out of range till they get incaped. Works everytime.
