OK, I'm new to the rifleman forum (1001 rifleman). I have a question, is conceal broken?

I conceal myself before attacking a pack assist critter; fire my first shot;the critter I'm firing at doesn't notice me but the rest of the pack does. I have tried this several times with consistantly the same result. What's the point in concealing yourself?

As a 1001 rilfeman with 4004 marksman, what are my best shots. I find so many of the moves are a waste of time, and I don't haveenough shortcut space for them all. I like flurry shot, seems to do extra damageplus dizzy. Obviously mind shot and HS2 work nice, but what supporting moves will help me outin the above scenario and others? Does supression fire actually work? How about warning shot? I've never noticed it do anything.

Alot of questions here, any advice would be great.

Yeah its borked right now. The devs siad they will fix it soon. Who knows actually when but its on their list from what they have said. It works great if you are killing a critter that is all by themself or if you are fighting a group of critters that are non-social. Ex: Squills and Mountain Squills are non-social.

Ummm.... How are you using conceal shot if you're 1001. Conceal shot comes from the concealment branch which is the second digit. Which you have listed as 0. If you are talking about TakeCover that skill doesn't have much use at the moment. I believe it's suppose to reduce either the damage you take from ranged weapons or the chance of getting hit by them.

The issue of autodetection by the targets friends is suppose to be fixed in the next monthly patch.

If you are 1001, right now your best bet is to stack bleeds (use mindshot2 then mindshot1) and use head shots. Try to find non-social MOB's. If attacking NPC's with ranged weapons hit them with flurry til they're dizzy. Switch targets and hit the next one, etc. Just make sure you aren't getting pommeled. Then get up and move back out of range. If the NPC's were on the ground and try to get up, they usually fall over. Then just walk into range and let your auto attack work them over.

Have a variety of weapons. Something fast and low HAM such as a CDEF, DLT20, or Spraystick. Use this to throw WarningShot at closing creature MOB's. As they run away swtich to a nice powerup and/or sliced Laser Rifle and stack Mindshot2 and Mindshot1 on the MOB. Switch back to low HAM weapon and keep it away from you. This is almost a required tactic if you solo and don't use a pet.

Thanks for the info guys. Yes I am talking about take cover, not conceal, sorry. I have pets that tank pretty good CH 2200 GSP's and Grauls. Having a low HAM weapons sounds like an interesting strategy as well. I will do some experimentation.
