Thread: Dev's is the T21 'supposed' to be a destroyer of players/npc's or armor?
If higher armor piercing damages armor against an NPC, why would we EVER use a T21??
Real World -the SABOT shell fired by an M1A1 tank is an armor piercing round...meaning, it pierces right on through the armor the destroys the contents of the target.
If you guys want the T21 to be an armor basher, fine, but call it Heavy Armor Breaking or something like that. The way it's usage is described now, it does NOT piece armor at all...just bangs it up.
Ok this is,as far as I know, how armour piercing works. The higher the pierce the more damage you do. For each level of armour pierce you have above his armour level, you do 50% more damage. For each level less you do 50% less damage. This damage doesn't show up in your cambat bar, as afar as I know. You need to examine the numbers that float off the head of the target. As to the damage you do to the targets armour, this is based entirely on how much damage you do and how much is stopped. The more damage you do, the worse the armour is hit. The only difference heavy armour pierce is doing to the damage to the armour is it increases the damage.
This data has been collected from multiple sources its validity is NOT certain.
the idea here is that an Armor Piercing round should negate armor. the round should pass through the armor, then deliver damage.
there are other rounds designed to destroy the armor its self, (not the thing protected by the armor directly)
its the difrence between sending a rocket that goes through the wall of a bunker, and kills every one inside, and simply destroying the entire bunker. right now the T21 spreads its damage over the armor, its only good against heavy armor, because it does a ton of damage, no because it pierces the armor.
so, armor piercing = heavier armor makes no difrence
armor bashing = heavier armor will allow you to live a bit longer
