Ok, there is a serious case of devs not talking to eachother, and making different plans for their own areas of the game.

Keldarin, one of the devs is currently working on AP. Working on nerfing it to hell that is.

His current change (not yet on TC) is to make AP nolonger have a bonus to damage against lower AR, but instead do "extra damage to the armor" What this means is that AP weapons have no purpose except against high AR targets, since damaging an NPC or MOBs armor doesn't do anything. Combine this with the nerf to the T-21's damage because of AP, the uber high HAM costs... and it has finally met it's nerf death.

Meanwhile.... A team of devs are working on "world balancing" Armor is being changed on MOBs to being lower AR, but far higher HAM value based on the damage done by (current) AP weapons. (ex. the Krayt changes, 300-700k HAM anyone?)

Plus... Damage Mitigation. I brought this up earlier (and this, like the low armor, high HAM is on TC) only to be told I was "wrong" this was only an "guess" and guess what? It's still on TC, the math is still the same. But I guess math using a dev provided formula is just an "opinion" of how things work, eh?

End result of these changes? AR1 has a 63% defence bonus (compared to current damage) against AP3 weapons in defence, for a little cost in condition, which NPC/MOBs don't have anyways. Holy T-21 nerf batman!


T-21 = **edit**ed over by AP/AR nerfs.
Lazer Rifle = **edit**ed over by Damage Mitigation changes.

The two top weapons for rifleman taken out in one sweep. Lovely. This means it's E-11, Jawa, and DLT20a are going to be the top rifles now, followed by SG82.

I believe Damage migation is being taken out for now, so the Laser hopefully won't get nerfed. As for the T21, it sucks to see it getting nerfed even more, after the previous nerf, nerf nerf nerf.
