I have heard they are changinf the special cap for rifleman to 3.0 instead of 1.0. Is this true?

There was a post byone of the devs, i cant remember which one, which stated the problem with speed in which everyone will fire at 1 per second once you have a speed mod of 100 or more.


He proposed that rifleman have a speed cap of 3.0 seconds as will pikeman. He also stated that this would obviously require the damage to be increased.


But if this change does come in sometime then the whole combat system will have also been changed so we cant tell how this would affect rifleman etc

Unless a developer/Coresspondent tells you that it's untrue.


Randonb(The Pistoleer Coresspondent) talked how they would not do a speed cap for dual weild pistolsbecause they already discussed having one for rifles and discovered it was a bad idea.

as of now or the soon to be near future its totally without merit.


what the combat revamp will bring who knows. everything that was posited by devs in ancient posts is not going to happen. there is no info on the changes but speed caps as everyone is thinking of them in terms of how skills work as of today will not change from 1.0


if the speed caps do change the difference in how combat is conducted will be changed across the board for everyone. so worrying about a speed cap in today's context.... not going to happen
