it and other less than T21 rifles are useful for grinding out the damage on lairs saving durability on your T21. i often use a CDEF or a DLT20a when playing with friends who are just starting out so i have something to do when we fight other than sit back and watch.

for such situations the lesser rifles work well as a means of handicapping yourself when your out with friends who havent made it to novice elite combat skills yet.

I used to always have my laser in my hand cause it doesn't cost as much Krayt tissue to make but, with all the composite running around in pvp now..I never leave home without a Jawa Cannon. I do miss my laser.

Okay, maybe you need to get a better laser. My laser is pretty much all I use. I found a weaponsmith on Eclipse that makes 434-max damage Lasers. I got lucky -- the first one I bought I sliced myself for 34% damage, so it is 581-max damage. My best T21 is only 439 (if i remember right). So even though the T21 is AP3 I like the Laser more anyway.

But to be honest, I haven't done a comparison of the AVERAGE damage that would be done by both. Maybe its time I do that and figure out if I've been using the wrong rifle the whole time.

A laser can hit a much higher damage shot or a much lower damage shot while the T-21 is the workhorse and hits more or less consistently. Personally I use the T-21 because it is our rifle and not a marksman's gun but I used my laser for all my bleeds since it would have a good chance of getting me a better tick. Of course now I don't bleed people but the laser still has its uses; I just happen to prefer a gun 2/3rds my size.

with ranged mitigation all laser rifles suck to hell.

Barb-Wire pretty much nailed it. The Laser Rifle generally has a pretty good attack speed both Novice and at Master, but I find it also best used to finish Lairs when running missions and the like to save the Durability on your T-21. Since Lairs have no resists, a Laser Rifle will cut it down about as quick.

Depending on what you're looking for, if you are no longer pining for XP, then you probably want to make money and as quick as possible. That being said, I pretty much use my T-21 for everything else. Nice, quick and easy cash.

I like keeping an E-11 around or an SG-82 for medium level grouphunts due to the shorter ideal range(fair chance at loots)and attack speed, also the E-11 has medium armor piercing. If you're an Imp with ST Armor, then the E-11 is a must to complete the look, hehehhe.
