I find spraystick usefull because of its good accuracy at short range so when target is close to me I take it re^placing my T21. I am only 2001 at rifle but will go on my way to master.

What do you suggest to use at short range, spraystick or is it better to use other (beam fifle ?), above all when I go to master and improve my accuracy, do you go on using short range rifle ?.

Thanks for your advice.

Easy answer - pistol. Riflemen are NOT close range (although currently you can get away with it and even beat pistoleers at point blank ) and as such if your close your out of position. When the combat tweaks come in I expect rifles to get even worse at point blank and when mobile so you may as well get used to keeping a range.

you can also have a weaponsmith make you accuracy experimented guns. you'd be amazed at the difference in hit ratio in pvp.

I find spraystick kinda useless in short range combat, I usually use it to finish off lairs.

I would suggest pick up a few boxes in pistol for short range.

I ground Rifle all the way to Master using Pistols for my in close defense. If I had to do it over again, I would not do this. I would, instead, go up 2H weapons in Brawler. Why?

There are two reasons to stick with Spraystick in close encounters, to continue using Rifle specials and to continue to gain rifle XP. However, it also means that, if they are in melee combat against you, you will take the melee to-hit bonus against you if you stay with Spraystick. So the main reason to swtich to apistol is to survive.

However, if you go this route, you do not just give up Rifle XP, you give up the ability to continue to target mind. This means you are, often, effectively starting over once they get within melee range. While switching to 2H Swords instead of Pistols will not continue to give you Rifle XP, it will allow you to continue to attack mind. It also gives you Lunge1 to do a posture down attack, Intimidate1 to reduce damage to you and the target's defenses, and Warcry1 to delay them for 10 seconds (provided you do not damage them before the time is up). This latter ability may give you time to get away. The combination of these things will allow you to kill things more quickly than if you simply switch to Pistols.

If I had it to do over again, I would go this route at least until I got to Master Rifleman. You can always drop it later if you choose to go with a different skillset to complement rifle. Me? I did it backwards. I went Master Rifle, then Master Swordsman, then Master Brawler. If I had it to do over again, I would level 2H and Rifle at the same time.

get yourself a stocked and scoped e11, can get very good accuracy mods on that... and if you can get one, throw in a krayt tissue... only need one.

I use my "armor on macro" to don my 70% composite and switch to spray stick...

"There were young knights among them who had never been present at a stricken field. Some could not look upon it, some could not speak. They held themselves apart from the others who were cutting down prisoners at my lord's orders, for the prisoners were a body too numerous to be guarded by those of us who were left.
Then Jean de Rrye, an aged knight of Burgundy who had been sore wounded in the fight, rode up to the group of young knights and said: "are ye maidens with your downcast eyes? Look well upon it. See all of it. Close your eyes to nothing. For the battle is fought to be won, and this is what happens if you lose."

During my grind I used a speed sliced, min/max dmg power-up enhanced dlt20a. It was less than 4.0 spd and did 180-280 damage. For me, it proved to be very accurate at less than 20m (more so than a laser or t-21).
