Thread: Should I drop Ranged Support 4?

about "dropping it would give me enough combat xp to pick up rifle special abilities"-- you realize that once you spend xp to learn a skill, they're gone forever, right? you don't get any xp refund for dropped skills.
that's how i read your question... unless you meant skill pts, in which case i'd take rifle spec. abilities 2 over ranged spt 4 any day.

To add to the question.....
There are a couple cool specials, like warning shot, but does it affect your rifle skills not to have any ranged support skills?
Thanks,
Nin
You get a little more general ranged aiming.

I had it while leveling, but to keep Medic once I also picked up the rest of my template, I dropped it. SuppressionFire can force someone/something to kneel and that can keep them off of you. However, to tell the truth, I do not miss it now that it is gone. I would recommend keeping it until you Master Rifleman or, possibly, run out of points for whatever else you want to build into your template. But it is not absolutely necessary at higher levels, especially if you get other skills to complement your Rifle skills.
Also, as someone else mentioned, if you do not have enough combat XP with it, you will not have enough for it by dropping it. If the choices is whether to take it or Rifle Special Abilities 2, that is one thing. But once you take a skill, the XP to get it is gone. You will not get an XP refund to spend on a different skill, so once you takea skill, the only reason to drop it is that you need the Skill Points (not the XP) back to spend elsewhere.
