Thread: They better not make us into snipers.

I hope they do make us into Snipers if they push a speed cap on us.
If they introduce a speed cap then they obviously dont want us to be machine gunners, however they also dont want to us to be snipers or assisins. We need to push for one becuse the worst thing ever would be to be stuck in the middle with slow speed, lower damage, high ham and lower defenses.
I took riffle man for the defense and more mind damage to acompany my master sword abilities..........but the big revamp is sopoesedly gonna fix stuff...yeah right.
So whats a swordsman to do to round out his class now?!? other than take it up the nerf hole...

Pay no attention to the NERF Rifleman posts. I haveonly onceseen a DEV post about a speed cap, that was TH stating that if one was impleteted the damage would be adjusted accordingly. If they did make Rifleman purely snipers, so be it. But remember the snipers motto, "One Shot, One Kill", and they would have to take us off the radar and not autotargetable unless we are actually firing, in order for the title to fit. And unless its a stealth nerf, it's not in the notes so irregardless I would not expect to see a change in the next patch. I'm of the opinion that the only balancing the Rifleman needs is to there accuracy at short range
They also need to fix the bug in our melee defenses because they took away the 2.5x melee damage modifier, and, while they were supposed to make us easier to hit, they made us harder to hit. This should be fixed in the next publish, but it needs to be fixed.

Gunners and sniping share a common point: high damages.
Imho, rifle(wo)men should be teh damage dealers (high damages, high speed), with (very)low defense for balance it.

aye sniping inthisRPG just doesnt work.. and never will... all the things that make sniping different to just long range shooting cant be implemented due to engine and playablility contraints..
getting bored anyway.. good job BF:Nam is out next week..
