I surely don't know the flat percentage, but I can tell you that it varies according to the accuracy of the incoming attack. I block far more against a BH with +80 accuracy (in addition to more outright misses from ranged def) than i do against one with +100 accuracy and an accuracy mod'd gun.

Im almost a master now 4434 and havnt seen a blocked shot the entire time ive been riffle grinding.

im also a master swordsman and see counter attacks way more (with my sword equiped of course) even at lower levels my counter attack worked better.... to bad it doesnt actually counter an attack... might as well be called "yet another dodge"

meh true but i was woundering what is the actuly % of blocking (i know theres a bug that tells you you countered attacked whil holding a block link weapon) by that i mean if you have 0 ranged and melee def and you get attack how offten will you block(for exm around ever 5th shot)

btw just tell tell you somthing a swordsman can hold a carbinee and have 0 crabine skills even in marksman and still counter attack like hell becose its a key link weapon

If block is anything like accuracy, the percentage will be half the number.

So 100 block = a 50% chance.

this has been posted elsewhere.. the verbage for block is wrong in the combat window. your combat spam says "soandso shoots at you for xxx damage, but you counterattack"... and the guy who shot at you gets "you shoot at soandso for xxx damage, but he blocks"

I am not sure if you knowthis, but be aware that the block message in the combat log displays the same message as counter attack, at least when we do it. Occasionally, you will see "but he blocked it" in the combat log against someone else, but our block message says, "but you counterattack."

Exactly why I dropped a little more scout and picked up some polearm. I see it fire alot more with block @ +135 than I did at master rifle with +80.

Actually, I'm feeling that they've done a good job on balancing defenses at this point. Doing alot of PvP, there are some people you miss ALOT (I'm one of em =), but they are not unhittable.

I picked up novice Pikeman last night and will maybe have an answer for you in the next week. So far I have not blocked once in the combat screen that I can remember but I do remember counter attacking 3 times and dodging 2 times (5 times total from novice brawler to Novice Pike).

Maybe when I get more block from Pikeman to stack up with Rifleman I will see more blocking or counterattacking, but as it stands now I counterattack and dodge more as a TKM than I do a Pikeman,but in my experience,block happens the least out of the 3 defense specials.
