Thread: Block? Does it work with modifiers or does it fork it?

I have block modifiers of +24 total in armor. When I equip it, I rarely block, when I unequip it I block more. Why is it that +24 block to my base 80 is making block worse??

Hmmmm.... Could be a couple of things. When it is equipped are you using a Pike or Rifle? You probably already know this but Block only works when one of those weapon types are equipped.
Other possibility is that the AA is not stacking with your Block skill but superceding it for some reason.
How long have you had that AA? There were some issues with SEA's not working correctly awhile back. Don't know if they fixed it or if the fix was retroactive.
If you have more detailed info let us know and we'll try to nail down the issue. You may want to do a /bug about it for now or a CSR help ticket and see what they say.

Ahh sorry forgot all about this.
The tape was looted off a tusken witch doctor or something so when they first came out uhh 2 patches ago I guess.
It seems to negate my block and it is while a rifle, if I unequip and requip it works for a while then stops... like i have to do it ever hour or so, I should be blocking quite a bit since my block with no pikeman defense is near 115.

Block also works more often with a pike or polearm weapon equipped than with a rifle if I accurately recall the results of the testing that has been done. Maybe that is part of your problem? Or else, there may be a little-known bug that's.....bugging....you. 
Not many people(at least that I know) have the benefit of such a large bonus to Block. Perhaps it is due to that reason, as well as Block registering properly in the combat log only recently, that no one has found this possible bug yet? My suggestion to you is to test this accurately to be completely sure. Have at least 100 shots fired at you without the extra Block and then again with it on. Compare the results and you should have your answer
