Thread: I did the unthinkable, My retirement

There are only a few of you left who this may mean anything too. The rest can disregard this post.
The time has come where I have done something I swore I would never do; something I have fought with for the past 13 months. It took a perversion of everything I liked/admired about this class, and the warping of the continuity of the SW universe as a whole to force this change, but it is done.
I have dropped rifleman for other persuits at the request of Lord Vader
It was a class I loved, and still love till this day. I picked up a rifle on the dayof my conscription to theImperial Armed Forceswas created, and had rarely put one down up until now. Rifles was a niche class back then; only the brave, uneducated, or new picked it up. I NEVER was a rifleman to be Uber, I was a rifleman to be different. I loved the challenge, I lived for the skill required. My instructors in basic taught me to stay ranged, and keep moving if discovered. They were merciless in their instruction and adherence to this rule. " Astationary Riflemanbecomes a dead rifleman" had become a mantra to us all in those 23 weeks of training at the Rifle training grounds in the forests of Endor.
Now, all that is gone. There is no tricks, or tactics to being a solid rifleman. It's now get a Jawa, get food/mind buffs, spam HS3 and "PWN j00!!" I'm sure most of the old-school PvP core will agree that entering a battle where the ONLY noise is Jawa shots makes you fundamentaly ill. This isn't what Riflemen are to me. The sound of Jawa fire has seared the noise receptor and amplifiers in my Composite helmet beyond the point of repair. It is all just a dull buzz to me now, surrounded with a blue haze. The endless ranks of new soldiers spawning from the Endor center, and the whatever terrorist training faciltity responsible is overwhelming.
And with that, I, KhyrasWO2 of the NFC division, retire from the Imperial Rifle Corps. I have been promoted to the Special Operations Division known simply as the "Purge" Unit. Our responsiblity is to restore balance to the force. I must hunt those Jedi who oppose the Emporer's will with the same intensity and concentration I applied tomy Rifle.
I may return someday; but for now, I lurk in the shadows.

Farewell brave soldier - hope you retirement works- hope to see you back in the future (after the mythical combat revamp) For now have fun in the BH fencer profession you are likely to pick up if you are jedi hunting

Yeah, I'll stick around here.. keep the newbs inline. But boy do I miss my T-21...
I've gone Bh 3440, Pistol 0040, and TKA 4404 (current BH 0420, the rest in Doc. I grind slow.)The anti-thesis of Rifles.
But, I've been doing real well for myself at just BH 0400, because all the jawa monkies can't handle states and posture changes!! Newbs! I'll be back after the armor nerf, once Everyone leaves Jawamen... I mean Rifleman. Still got the xp saved for a rainy day. I want the cap to come, simply to have a niche class again.
