Well, today I earnedtitle of Novice Rifleman. I celebrated by taking my speed slicedT21 that I've been carrying for a week in my inventory but not using since I could not hit the broadside of a Star Destroyer with it until NR, andMINDSHOT pretty much everything I saw in the distance. Nothing was safe from my rifle, as it should be. Now,I move to the next phase, as I prepare for the day when, a bit in the future, I solo that Rancor nest, or take out that krayt, single-handedly. There is still much to learn and much to do.

Oh, also, for a newly minted NR, what do you recommend for gaining goodXP to move up? Thanks.

Dantooine should be yourplayground until you finish the sniping line, then move to other planets like yavin or dathomir.

u still cant hit the broad side of a Death Star, from my experience keep in group for a while stay at range once they close in you'll have trouble even hitting them.

Do CH while doing rifleman...i found a pet-tank very usefull for leveling rifleman....most mobs never closed in melee-ranged cause playing with my tank...

You really dont even need CH, just get a non CH pet, like a lvl 10 Razor Cat. Let them tank Huurton Stalkers or Huntresses on Dantooine, and youll just stand back and blast away while collecting nearly 4-5k in xp from each kill. The lairs usually spit out 12+ so plenty to kill. Get great brandy and canape though to prevent your mind from draining while you blast away. Get to Countersnipe 3 as fast as possible for Flushing2 and its all downhill from there. Well thats my two cents. All these guys have good suggestions and you should be fine with either one.

You still have a tough grind ahead of you. The bane of a novice rifleman is speed. You can do good damage, but you can't do it at anty respectable frequency. Your other problem is accuracy. Once they are up close, they are going to carve you a new one. You're going to need to use a laser rifle until you get countersniping 2 which will give you the DXR-6b certification. You'll do the lions share of your leveling with the laser and the DXR-6b. You can use a T21, but it will be painful. I tried it. LOL
The extra accuracy and speed of the DXR will help tremendously in leveling.
Which trees to go up first? Thatis up for debate. Rifle abilities gives you speed, but it relies on combat xp...so it is a slow grind.
Sniping gives you accuracy. You're going to need it.Also gives HS3 and bleeds.
Concealment gives concealment. Wow, imagine that. It also gives your ranged mitigation and defense.
Countersniping gives the second best AOE attack in rifleman. Flushing Shot 2. Get it as quickly as you can.
Rifle Abilities is all about speed. You'll love it.
The difference between Novice and Master is tremendous. Even 4-4-4-4 and Master is huge.

True, use ahrisa for grinding, canape is totally inefficient. As for speed, I was lucky enough to get not one, but two 34% speed slices on two T21s. With speed pups, I got 3.4 speed on them, which is not too bad for grinding. I used them exclusively during the whole grind (trashed both of them TWICE hehe), it took me 3 days from novice marksman to master rifleman. My advice is to get the sniping line 1st because of the accuracy and concealment chance, you'll be able to kill anything from around 50m+ while prone without being detected (I used hs3 all the way).
Good luck
