from what i got from your post, you do have rifles 4, in that case, id suggest picking up an e11, pretty fast as rifles go, with decent damage (lasers suck), once you hit novice, get a speed sliced t21, prone 30m+ spam headshot 2, wont see you for at least the first 3 shots.

generally people will tell you to go to dantooine and hunt quenkers (not savage ones!!!)

they give great xp and pay out well if you do missions while doing it.

myselfI took my time and hunted many things

pickets on lok, quenkers, rancors (in a newb group - no solo grouping before you have a few columns of speed!) I found snakes on lok are easy 1-2 shot kills (and if prone they can never aggro fast enough to avoid being killed ^_^) Tortons are also perrenial favorites.

make sure you stay at the 50+ m mark and shoot while prone - make sure it doesn't have more then 10-15k ham and more then light armor if you plan to solo at novice rifleman. (unless you are a scout and can run like the wind ^_^)

telling someone what to hunt is actually a very hard job- it depends on your play style and what you want to gain from it. Money? XP? Loot? are you already an elite combat prof? are you a master marksmen? it helps with the speed and accuracy at the bottem end and even more at the top of the rifleman profession.

generally speaking - do what you find fun. no one grinds for jedi anymore so take your time... play the game and learn all about the tactics and advantages and disadvantages of rifleman.

Ack is exactly right here. It's going to depend. Quenkers on Dantooine are very popular. You can usually take them down with a coupe HeadShots. Nor do they Deathblow. Dantooine is a fairly good hunting ground for the mid levels.

Find targets you are comfortable hunting. If possible I would suggest MOB's that use ranged attacks. This lets you keep them at ideal range since they won't close to melee most likely. Thoughsince you are TKM also you probably won't have many problems if they do get close.

Another tactic you may want to try with your TKM is fight tough MOB's like Rancors. Go prone and you should be able to get off three or four shots before they close to melee. Then switch to TKM and finish them off. Not sure how well this tactic will work but you may get some good Rifle XP from this. If you do try this let me know how it worked.

I would suggest getting a pet/droid and grouping with it for the XP bonus. When grouped you can get an extra 15-20% XP. It will make leveling much faster. You don't have to take it with you, I told mine to stay in the starport. As long as you are grouped and on the same planet ( I didn't test to see if it worked between different planets ) you will get the bonus.

As for which weapon I would suggest either an E11 or Laser Rifle until you hit Novice Rifleman. At that point get a T21 or three and get them sliced. Use any speed slices at this point. If you get damage sliced put them aside until you hit Master.

what about spraysticks? they are just like pistols...and you can use pointblankarea 1.....the only problem is a super high mind cost because you are firing so fast. The one i have is sliced to 1.3 speed, with 40 mind per shot :S so lots of brandy and ahrisa just to grind. I wasnt sure whether to use a T21 because at novice they are so damn slow

generally we skip the spray stick. Is great for fast speed but the damage potential is way low. Withe the weapon change delay it is no longer as desirable asit once was. before we would use the spray stick when we got charged to fire warning and threaten shot but now it takes 3-5 secs to change weapon andit is ap 0 and it has a low damage range it is not as useful as it once was X- e11's or laser rifles are great -XThe T-21 is the god stick but unless you have some sea's and a speed sliced t-21 is better to stick with e11's or laser until you get some speed

I leveled Rifleman on Tatooine, but a LOT has changed in the game since then. Still, there is a wide variety of good MOBs on Tat. Bocatts will get up near 3600 XP (when grouped) and Mountain Squill used to be around 4500 XP... assume they still are. Like Ackhece said, the most important thing is to find a place where you are comfortable and hang there. I always liked Tatooine because of the wide open spaces and always felt a little uneasy on Dant and VERY uneasy on Lok. Plus last time I went to Lok almost nothing would spawn. I was out riding around the countryside one night for an hour and only a few nests of anything actually spawned.
