I just posted thissame messageas a response in another thread, but thought I would also post it as a new thread for those who may not be following the other one....
The question is: How fast can a MRmakemoney running missions on Dantooine?
Well,I whipped out the stopwatch last night and here is the lowdown from my test runs on Eclipse last night:
I should be fairly representative of MOST master riflemen:
-- I am master rifleman, but do not have marksman and have one speed tape, so rifle speed is 91
-- I have very good rifles but not Uber rifles: WithOUT powerups, my T21 max damage is in the mid 500's I think.
My Jawa Ion is 302, my DXR-6b is 470's. You do the math with 33% powerups.
-- I ride a swoop bike (only thing faster is an AV-21 I believe)
PRE-REQS:
-- Get doctor buffs
-- Mind buffs (any combination of brandy, entertainers, ahrissa, canape, etc.)
-- Lots of 33% powerups for your rifles
-- Armor
SCENARIO:
-- Went to Dant Mining Outpost, joined a Solo Group (for increased mission payout)
-- Went to Mesric ("Improved Job Market" for increased mission payout)
-- Parked in front of the Mesric mission term:
-- Click-started my stopwatch
-- Looked forTWO high-paying(31K) missions, same direction, close as possible (Mokks, Jantas only)
-- Went to closest mission as fast as possible, took it out ... No looting, etc.
-- Went to second mission as fast as possible, took it out ... No looting, etc.
-- Sped back to park in front of the mission term again
-- Click-stopped my stopwatch
I did this same scenario FOUR TIMES. I was never able to do it faster than 8 minutes and 30 seconds.
Here are my stats from the first three runs. Only recorded the time on the fourth run:
to M1 to M2M1 dist M1-M2 M2 dist TIME
----- ----- ------- ------- ------- ----
689 1118 1000 550 9988:33
633 1000 691609 1180 9:10
587 938800+ 390 1229 8:33
"to M1" is the distance to Mission 1 as accepted from the mission term
"to M2" is the distance to Mission 2 as accepted from the mission term
"M1 dist" is actual distance (after the "movement") of Mission 1 from the terminal
"M1-M2" is the distance from Mission 1 to get to Mission 2 (before the "movement" of M2)
"M2 dist" is actual distance (after the "movement") of Mission 2 from the terminal (i.e., the return trip)
"Time" of course is how long it took from click-start to click-stop (i.e, one complete cycle).
COMMENTS/CONCLUSIONS:
-- You do NOT have control over how far the missions may move, and it can be significant.
-- You do NOT have control over how long it will take to find 2 good, close, missions in same direction on terminals.
There were several times THAT I DID NOT USE IN MY TOTALS where it took a lot of screen refreshes to find
a good combination of missions.
-- So my time per each mission is approximately 4 minutes and 15 seconds at best.
-- I can believe that, with somewhat better weapons, you can take out the lairs a little faster than I did. But I highly doubt you can cutmore than one minute off that time.
-- I tried both SS2 and HS3 as a way of clearing the NPCs, and am undecided about which is better.
-- LOOTING or harvesting will increase your mission times.
Conclusions for most riflemen:
In general, I would plan on a "leisurely" 10 minutes for two missions, meaning you can run 12 missions an hour.
12 missions x 31K per mission = approx372K per hour if you are diligent and keep after it.
If you run your missions out of the Outposts, it WILL take longer, because those missions are generally several hundred meters farther away from the terminal than in player cities.

That is an excellent point, ssobe.
Probably a very good idea on the Mokk missions. I never get any decent loot off a Mokk.
However, Jantas are another story... Out of the last 8 or 10 Janta missions I've run,
I've looted 2 crystals and some good Janta blood (valuable to doctors), so I'll always
take the time to kill the Jantas.

god, I guess I should have never complained about not having money then
If only I had grinded money missions for a couple of hours I could have been a multi-millionaire!
It's sad that I played the game for over a year and my bank total right now is only 1.5 or so million. And I made 750K of that selling one stupid crystal. Apparently I was slacking off too much, oh well.

My bank usually fluctuates between 500K - 1.5Mil. There is too much to spend money on as a doc if you're crafting. LOL
As a note, the tactic also works if you're doing Rancor missions on Dathomir. It is a lot riskier, but it works. Just make sure you can find your speeder when the poo-doo hits the fan. Best tactic I've foundfor Dath-Rancor missions is to do a fly by on your speeder and get the nest/rancors to spawn. Don't go too close, just enough to trigger the spawn. If you notice, the majority of the rancors spawn on the side you approached. Circle around and set up on the opposite side of the nest at 64M. Leave your bike at roughly 75 meters away or so, your choice. Blast away with strafe2. You'll probably get the nest knocked down to the halfway point before the rancors get to you. Of course, more rancors will be spawning as you beat on the nest. Ignore them all, concentrate on the nest.By the time the nest pops, there aregoing to be quite a few rancorson you. Ignore them and runfor your speeder. That is why Iadvised placing your speeder 10m+ away from your max range. With that many rancors on you, it is really tough to find. (I suppose I should use a mount speederbike macro). You'll get hurt, just like fighting Mokk or Janta but rarely enough that you won't be healed by your next mission.
Plus,it leaves a lot of orphaned Rancor out there running around Dathomir. It makes it appear a lot more dangerousthan it normally is and in my mind a lot more fun.
Just some thoughts.

Don't feel too bad, Skel...
-- Solo groups are a fairly new idea
-- "Improved Job Market" cities are a fairly new addition
-- Doctor buffs, Entertainer buffs, and good chef foods are relatively new
So the ability to make this money hasn't been around for very long...
You weren't doing anything wrong, you were just playing the game with its limitations.
I can remember when I thought getting 10K Piket missions on Dant was cool, and making 80K an hour was fantastic...
And most important: Running missions in this manner gets OLD.. VERY OLD... fast. At least to me.

I'm right there with you, I hate doing money missions. That's why I do them as fast as possible. Fun stuffrarely puts credits in the bank. I have a med center, house, harvesters, and factories to support. Only way to keep those up and running is to have a large cash flow coming in. I can either be a buff-bot sitting in a starport or I can make a heck of a lot more money spending an hour grinding cash missions. Once I'm comfortable, I go back to having fun exploring, PVP, or whatever.
As far as loot goes, I've rarely found anything worth my time on Dantooine. It does happen, but very rarely. When I'm hunting for loot, I head to Yavin IV, Dathomir, or Endor.

Impressive...
You didn't mention it but I assume your just targeting the nests using straff2 then moving to the next mission or are you using some other method?
What I do is set up from 64 m targeting the nest with Straff2 and watch all the mokk or janta die before the nest blows up.
I like loot though, so it takes me about 30 seconds or less to loot.
7-9 minutes from term to term is my average when I speed run missions.

I think you're missing one major factor if you're grinding Mokk and Janta purely for the cash.
You don't have to kill all or even any of the NPCs. You only have to destroy the base.
If you're really looking for quick cash, you hop off the speeder (leave it out, don't store it), strafe2 the lair until it explodes, then mount speeder and go to next mission. You'll get beat on by the NPC's a bit, but not enough to hurt significantly. With a 500Max T21 and a power up, I can clear a Mokk or Janta base in under a minute. That cuts way more than a minute off your time.

craft
best moneymaker in the game
I can make 400k an hour via missions, or 4 million a day selling armor
best part is i dont have to be online to make the armor cash
crafting is worth it
