Is it worth picking up (or in my case get back lol) Explor 3 to get terrain negotiation to better kite and keep the distance to stuff you are kiting? It was such a long time I used it so I am not sure if it really helps or not (those Giant Canyon Krayt seems to run from 50 m away up to you in no time anyway)

It still is a very useful skill for kiting - target a creature in a valley and keep moving in the hills... as long as your don't lose LOS. I loved when I had Some terrain negotiation - after I gave it up I noticed a big difference in how often creatures got to melee range. Currently am getting some terrain negotiation back as a CM

From personal experience I can say yes. Back before publish 9, I was looking for krayts and there was a tef'ed jedi in the valley of the krayt graveyard. So I shot him down and sniped him. His swordsman friend proceeds to attack me as I kill the jedi's other rifleman friend. Running really low on mind, I hit burst run and started up the hill. You know how steep those hills are in the graveyard. Kited the swordsman down, he wasn't even near me when he died. I like it. I think its worth the points.
