Now this is all just a thought, and i have no idea what tread or board to put this one so please be gentle when flaming me. I have often wondered why the pistol line gets a pistol whip and the carbines and rifle professions get nothing?? Think about this....if a TKM comes up to you and starts pounding your head in would you sit there and try to shoot them with your rifle or carbine in close combat?? I think not! You will more than likely try and smash the butt of your weapon into this persons skull to deal some damage and then maybe off them, right? That would make more sense to me i think. And when using this attack give the ranged person a chance of making the opponent dizzy/kd. If i got hit in the head with a rifle, carbine, or even a pistol i am gonna feel a lil loopy and prolly gonna fall. Now not everytime it is done make it apply states, make it to where the persons defenses help to get through the dizzy/kd faster or slower depending on the stats and skills the opponent possesses. I am just throwing this out there because nothing angers me more than to see a rifleman getting attacked point blank and get owned when thier opponent is that close they could hit them with thier rifle or carbine and buy them some time and you never know turn the tide of the battle a bit into thier favor. Just an idea though, i am sure that there are better out there, but i am at work bored so i thought i would think of something constructive to do for the game seeing as i cannot play it right now cause my internet is down
Anyways, let me know what you peeps think thanks.

While the idea of a "butt-stroke" series 1 and series 2 would be cool additions, they pose a few problems.
1: What specials do you give up to get those two? (would have to be two to stay with the KD1, KD2 ideal)
2: Why does a carbineer need them as he already has very effective KD attacks.
3: Why should a Rifleman have any close range attack, that is the draw back of the profession.
As for a pistoleer having it, it is a cool visual idea, though most pistoleers would rather have a KD they can use at a range(and the melee defense 2 has no KD effect at all). A more important addition to ranged professions would be adding a ranged DB to each profession.
As for getting owned by melee fighters when they are on top of you (ie in MELEE range) well, that should happen... now hopefully the CU will make melee range actually MELEE range (0-3 meters) and us ranged folks will actually be able to make use of the main value of firearms... distance.
