Thread: Greetings and Intro

Thanx everyone.
Most of you already probably know me. For those that don't. I've been playing SWG since a little after launch (my wife recommended I pick it up). I've been using Rifles ever since. My present template is Rifle/TKA with some Scout and Medic. In the past I've also Mastered Artisan, Architect, Marksman, and Smuggler. This is the first MMORPG I've played. Closest prior experience was when I did a MUD (Darkwind) for awhile. Besides that I've been playing RPG's off and on for over twenty years.
The main focus will more than likely be the combat revamp. I'll be going thru the Correspondents board to see what ideas have been tossed around and getting our voice in there. Guruweaver has been kind enough to volunteer to take our concerns and ideas to the Summit at the end of the month. If you have any ideas, concerns, or suggestions please go to that stickied thread and post them. It's vital we get as much information as we can to Guruweaver. Here is a clicky just in case. I'm also going to be doing some of the obligatory sticky cleanup. I've already started on that a bit. I am also looking at stickying some old threads just for fun. It could just be some old but still relevant information, testing, or just funny things to look back on. I'll probably keep it up for a week or two before changing it. Feel free to make suggestions for these.
I'm also going to be doing some focus threads. I'll be splitting it into three parts. First will be a Rifleman in PvE thread. It will be for issues in PvE. The other will be a PvP thread. I do not PvP so I'm going to need a lot of help in regards to this issue. Especially as I would like to get any issue to Guruweaver before the summit. I'm looking for someone that does a lot of PvP that can help focus that thread and act as an aide in this issue for me.
The third thread will be a Test Center thread. This thread will just be for information about changes that are on TC that can effect Riflemen. It's going to just be a 'heads up' type of thread as I know many don't play on TC or look at the changes made there. Please remember though that even items on TC are subject to change prior to going live. I've also asked someone to help focus this thread and I'll let you know if they accept.
My posting here is going to be a bit sporadic. As I'm going to try to catch up on the Correspondents boards as much as possible. Also in the middle of next week I'll be away from the computer for a couple days on a family matter. Also at the end of September I'll be gone for about a week on a business trip.
Other than that, as most of you know I'm not going to be able to share information from the Correspondents boards with you without a prior approval. But I will give you what I can and bring your concerns to those boards.
I'm also not going to respond as muchto any troll type posts as I've had in the past. I'll leave it up to the rest of you to do so for now.
I'm looking forward to this in many ways but am a bit nervous at the same time. I'll respond to PM's as best I can but please don't swamp me. I'll also be starting a "Ask the Correspondent" thread to minimize that hopefully. And I'll try to keep it running as long as possible. I know how vital communication is.
Anyways, thanx for all the support and I'll do the best I can for Riflemen and for SWG in general.

Glad to have you with us Waste! Are you at least able to dismiss the rumours that have been lingering about the "rifleman nerf?"

I pvp quite a bit (as a Stormtrooper though) so I can assist you in that matter if needed.
(Its 3 am..and I have a headache, Ill finish the final touches up this afternoon and post the rewritten revamp proposal Ive been eagering about these few weeks

Called it. Heh, I just knew you'd be given the spot waste although it would have been interesting if they'd gone with the other psycho on these boards.

Congrats, Waste! I'm soooo happy that the Devs got this correspondent pick right. I look forward to your reign.
As for the PvP help, I will gladly volunteer. I've been playing as a rifleman and PvPing ever since Flurry's first Master rifleman caught me napping while I was running a faction mission (damn you, Draxx!! ). Since then I've PvPed on a regular basis, and I fully consider it my "end game." Let me know if I can help in any way.

Karden and Rue,
I've stickied a PvP issue thread. If you both can go there and post observations. What's working, what isn't, what could be improved. It would be much appreciated.
