ok i have been at the squill cave on valcyn grinding xp for the village and why is it now that when the squills get close to me they are able to kick the crap out of me in my 76-80% compos/ubese armor

and i am loving how strafe shot 2 can't even hit a second target nowadays.
before i was able to use strafe 2 and kill almost everything b4 it got to me

so is it that
Rifleman melee defense is broke- +40 just from rifleman should help agianst squills but it don't
we all know strafe 2 is broke
or is there just a huge armor hole bug

how can a squill be taking my health down so fast when i am using my rifle but yet using tkm they do no dmg what so ever with the same armor on?
did the devs just nerf us so we can't solo anything anymore with rifles cuz i am having a hard time grinding and capping rifles now then i did a month ago and last night went to 0 0 and in 2 seconds of using my rifle i was dead in a brand new suit of 80% armor

so anyone know whats up might have to pick up fencer just to finish this grind as it is now taking me more longer to cap on rifles

Because you are holding a rifle in melee. The squills get a bonus to hit you. Which negates most if not all of your melee defense.
