Thread: Is the tradeoff worth it?
that goes with any weapon.
i don't know what you've been doing but if you do it correctly, the mob will never even get close to you. if you have warning shot.....use it. it will make the mob go out of range and then he will peace you, you can then start over and attack him again. plus, i usually kill most mobs in 2 or 3 headshots
Hihi. I'm just browsing the professional forums to walk a mile in another person's shoes, as it were. One thing with creature handlers is that the monster they're fighting has to be at least as strong or stronger than the pet they're using to get any experience at all. I'm absolutely not asking you tocry a river for us or anything, but a creature handler using a gurreck would have to be fighting something of challenge level 50 or better or they'd just get 1 xp. It's really just trading one problem for another. Just thought I'd pop in and let you know the grass wasn't much greener on our side of the fence, especially with upcoming changes to our profession. Don't give up hope yet. ![]()
Besides, I've seen lots of posts on our board by PvP creature handlers who've been killed in one shot by riflemen, and a dead creature handler equals a body surrounded by pet statues.Thathas to be worth something.
People also tend to hate creature handlers more than any other profession, which I'm assuming is mainly because of the troublemaking element that's picked us as a flavor of the month. It's not all glitter and sunshine for us at the moment, so I wouldn't recommend dropping all of your rifle skills just to take up the profession unless you really really dislike rifles.
(NOTE: I'm not at all trying to say creature handlers are poor and weak, so please don't attack me. I'm well aware we're overpowered in PvP, and the changes they've been talking about will literally reduce our power to 1/3rd of what it currently is in both PvP and PvE, which I'm sure will make most people extremely happy. I just wanted to provide a different perspective while I was here.)
Cheers!
