Rifleman Archive
Thread: What do I look foward to as I advance in rifleman.
Ok im a master marksman and I love using a rifle. I have a rifle that does 150-185 dmg at 4.8 sec with 20 HAM loss. Right now I am very good with the rifle and I could win most PvP. My question is how would do the skills I would learn as a rifleman help me out.By just looking at the skill tree I dont see anything that useful, of course I've never been able to try it out, so please tell me about them. Or do you guys think that I'm good enough already as a rifle specialist and that I should train in another weapon tree like pistoleer.
Also where is there a rifleman trainer?
Sniping Accuracy is by far the best tree.
Not only does it improve accuracy, but it gives you Mind Shot 2, Head Shot 3 and Sniper Shot.
MS2 is basically guarenteed death to any player. Even if they incap you, they will be incap'd, hopefully before they get a chance to DB you.
HS3 with a T21 rifle can incap a lot of people in one shot. Slice it and put on a good powerup to increase your chances. (I suggest either +max damage or +min damage, if you're going for one-shot-kills.)
Sniper Shot mostly just saves some hassle in small scale PvP, but in large scale PvP it's invaluable. In big groups, the guy who breaks from the group to do deathblows is the one who gets the crap kicked out of him, so being able to sit 60m away and deathblow people is just great.
...
For PvE, I'd say we pretty much suck, though. Conceal Shot is nice, but boring. Mind Shot 2 is awesome for kiting/exploiting Jaxes but no doubt they'll fix that soon.
Block doesn't seem to do anything. Cover seems to do very little, and "+20 Cover" doesn't make it better, it just makes you fail less trying to take cover.
Overall I think rifles are disappointing. We can't outmelee Tera Kasi Artists like a Pistoleer can and we don't get cool carbine knockdowns in a Bounty Hunter tree.
But we're pretty cool in PvP.
Are you taling about PvP only, or PvE as well? Either way...
Probably the best skill tree, and the one most people go for first is the snipper tree. With it you will get thedevistating Mindshot 2, along with Headshot 3 (Which some people still use HS2 even though they have HS3). Once mastered the sniper tree you get Sniper Shot, which basically lets you do a /deathblow from any distance your rifle will let you. (Getting in close to do a normal /deathblow isnt a good idea for rifleman and there horrible acuracy up close with a rifle.)
Also at novice Rifleman you will get the certification for the T21 Rifle. This is one of the most powerfull weapons you will see in game.
But the decision should be left to you. Its all preferance. If you enjoy using the rifle, persue it...if not than its probably not for you. Getting rifle xp is probably one of the hardest things to get.
And finally just remember you can always turn in your skills for the points back, if you dont like it. (Although all the time and xp is wasted)
Good luck.
Oh yeah..
