I'm a complete newb to rifleman, first day playing the game.

Is there a guide or a list of terms I can read to get up to speed?

Dont really know what list of terms you are looking for. But as far as the first steps tward becoming a rifleman...

Im assuming you have the marksman skill? Then you need to buy a rifle. Any CDEF Rifle should be good enough for starters. Next you wanna run destroy missions. Get 2 of them in the same direction...preferable the least amount of distance. And like it was mention go out and kill stuff. Grabbing missions, you will start to earn $$$ and XP at the same time.

I know most of the basics, just not the acronyms you guys are using.

Hmm, can you list the ones you dont know.

A few I can think of are:

DOT = Damage Over Time (Meaning it will continually cause damage every x amount of seconds)

HS1 - HS3 = HeadShot

MS1 + MS2 = MindShot

ahh

XP = Experience Points

HAM = Your Health, Action, Mind bars

MOB = Monster or Beast (basically any creature)
