I hear things about riflemen soloing the lvl 269 DJM NPC's.. how would one go about this as kiting has become impossible with the new weapon hinderance.. Please if you know how, let me know

If you use stopping shot, kneeshot, and underhanded shot you can usually keep him at bay. Using the cybernetic arms for a +15m starting range also helps a lot. You just have to keep running him in a big circle, and pray that he doesn't get in range to attack, lol

Have any of you tried to do the circle dance on a high end mob only to have it -retreat- on you and instantly regen all its life? Watching your target become unhittable and regening all its life after working on it for 20 minutes is disheartening, that is why I don't do it for anything over a level 85 creature any more.
Does anyone know what triggers the -retreat-? It has happened to me a bunch when fighting 3 or 480 level creatures at once and using area attacks, and when I fight giant krayt and ancient krayt, nightsisters, anything that has over 30k ham really. I have even seen it happen when a creature incaps or kills one of the group members. Is this random, or is there a way to stop it from happening?

yes this really sucks cause there is nothing you can do about it. I believe it happens when they get a certain distance from their spawn point, but it seems to be different for each creature.

The DJM's have such a low regen rate it doesn't seem to be much of an issue, really.

Where (as a Rebel) can I find DJM's (or mobs of equal level) to kill?

Yeah when you are fighting it. But if it retreats its health regens like he just popped some spice with +80000% to health regen

Tried to, but got my ass kicked three times in a row. Then again, I'm not very good at either PvE or PvP so maybe it's just me.

Yes, as any creature, a DJM is bound to his original point. If you drag him too far away he'll enter -Retreat- mode.
While in -Retreat- it seems the creatures/NPCs regenerate about 4-5 times faster (as an approximation) and will not exit -Retreat- in response to any attacks.
Hope that info is helpful.

The time it takes to miss 7 times in a row (it happens quite a bit with DJM's) is just about hte time it retreats.

It takes about 200m+ from original spawn point before a retreat can happen or to much time not attacking. I have Master Rifles, Master CM, and a bit of pistoleer for stopping shot. The trick for me is to take a Deterium Pyro for the +100 ranged Acc and some action foods. Then find a good spot thats clear of tough reds (night sisters, rancors, and black suns). Send a pet in if your not within range. Kneecap to slow him for a bit then stopping shot when he gets within 40m. Then you can walk in to 10m and throw a Electrolyte Drain on him. At 8m he will kill you and at 11m you are too far. After he's ED'd your regular walking speed can outrun him. Throw some more Kneecaps in there to make sure. With a good rifle, mods, and also hitting him with DOTs he should fall before the ED wears off. The hardest thing is getting states to stick. Have burst run food ready in case. I also set Paralyze as my default attack. It seems to hit him at around 12m when he gets to close. But its risky to let him get that close because of lag issues. Be prepared to die alot and take take long rides from the outpost while practicing this technique.Towards the end of my DJM soloingI only diedonce out of the lastdozen or so which was due to lag teleporting. Now I have an alt with support skills AFK helping me and taking an extra mission to make it faster.
