To introduce myself, since this is my first post in the Rifleman forum, I'm a weaponsmith on Flurry and have a MBH/Master Smuggler alt. I know how important SAC values are for smugglers, but I don't have a feel for how important SAC is for Rifleman. I've read the first page here this morning and see that you all consider SAC to be important. As you know, there is a trade off between Damage (min/max damage and speed) and SAC. I am a Wookiee and I have experience with my bowcaster that has a SAC of 95, and I feel that this is average because fighting for an extended time, I run out of shots.
I have a few questions please:
What is the highest tolerable SAC for a rifle when you purchase it?
Do you buy SAC power ups?
So for example, as a smuggler,
I prefer SAC<80 pistols with damage or speed power ups, because if I run out of PUPs at least my SAC is still low.
Thank you in advance for your responses.

I think once you atrt getting over 104-105 its time to look for a better rifle myself, I have a good T21 thats 104 and if I try to shoot the way I did pre CU Ill drain out my acton real quick. Thats one reason I am using my 94 SAC Trando so much

I agree here. My rifle is at 104 and I use a SAC PUP on it just to keep myself going. This is after food and Pixie (yes I am an addict) is pumped in. Anything above 105 is a total no go for me. I do not care how damaging it is if I can only fire 4 shots well that is not enough.

well I have variur MRM rifle with one of 1111 max dmg/114 sac T21, and some adv laser rifle with 1160 max dmg and 104 sac.
and now I've got several nice rifles which have low sac and nice damage... Check this one:

PS. And yes, I do buy low action pups, my choice is -21% sac reduction and -1 penalty to accuracy. For upper showned laser rifle I'm getting 65 SAC by using this pup.

I have 2 rifles hotbarred:
1 damage rifle,
1 low SAC rifle.
I'd suggest stocking each type, some with low SAC, some with high damage in case you wanna front-load and try to end things quickly.

Yeah Issiks on the money. I have an 84 SAC 1k Dam T21, and its fine with me, but many Rifleman carry two rifles for varying situations. Make some with High DPS, but with them keep the SAC under 105.

Imho, I wouldn't buy a rifle with a sac over 90, 82 is the max. I still put a sac pup on my 82 sac rifle.

SAC should be around 105, I'd go for 110 but only if it had godly max damage and good speed. but the lower the better, mine is currantly 106, do quite well with food and spice
never leave the house without sac pups
haven't tried a SAC experimented weapon with lower damage plus a damage pup before, might go for it soon and see how it works out

You forget that if you have a high speed rifle you have to have lower SAC but if you have lower speed you dont have to have ultra low SAC. On my rifle I put a dmg pup whihc increese the speed a little and the action won't be much of a problem when I eat some food.
