Thread: Suggestions for Close-Range Rifle
Recently I've been frequenting the DW Bunker and some of the old caves. They're fun in groups, but not my main hunting grounds. What would be the best way to go as far as close-range combat with a Rifle so I can actually participate? The range modifiers are just too much on my primary guns...

are basically medium and not really long range weapons. they are ok at close range but still lack in point blank.
Spraysticks are the rifleman's point blank weapons. the only thing that sucks about em is they are AP0. so in places like the bunker they are just not much use at all.
also, not sure if you are aware of this but you can still use "aim" ability at close range, just not point blank. you can use it up to 3 times, it stacks and each "aim" gives you +30 to accuracy (for a total of +90). aim effects regarless of how many you use lasts for your first 3 shots. this can effectively negate your penalty and then some. aim is a Ranged SUpport skilltree (marksman) ability.

i believe so, i know i come across + range modifiers weapons at various weapon shops but they do a little less dmg or costs a bit more HAM.
but you are better asking that question on the weaponsmiths forum.
One otheroption is to get a DXR-6b Disruptor custom made for accuracy/ranges. Then throw on some point blank powerups.
That may work too.
yea, i forgot about those. point blan kpowerups on a seperate medium range rifle, keep it in your bag and use it as necessary.
i dont need to worry about it cause my 2nd is a mster fencer, i just switch to melee when in close combat.
