The E-Web would be a great addition for us, but lets see if we can have a little more fun than just adding a gun.

To use the E-web you have to be in cover, once in cover you equip the E-Web and it set's up on a Tripod in a machine gunner's nest. This way we could use the gun from a nest mowing down anything that tries to get near us. The E-Web will basically be a portable turret, a great defensive weapon to stop raids and what not.

What do you think?

If anything that would come under carbines, cause they are the assaulters...or commandos...remeber we are "snipers"

Wanderer, Assaulters are mobile, this would be imobile hence a GUNNER or sniper would get this. We are machine gunners think about it. You don't put a machine gun nest close to the enemy, you put it far back in an area you want protected. A machine gun nest and E-Web has Sharpshooter written all over it.

Infact Wander cover without the sneak skill makes you imobile, so if any weapon makes you imoblie we should probably get it.

sounds good to me, but if we got an extra weapon, everyone would want an extra weapon.

If you really want to work this into the game, you would do better to position it as some kind of faction perk that required multiple players to operate.. say maybe a rifleman and an artisan with engineering IV, or something like that. Still not likely to happen, but anything positioned as a "make rifleman stronger" feature is going to hit the floor like a ton of bricks right now :-)

I can wait until they bludgeon us to death with the nerf bat first before asking for this.Just discussing the idea with you guys and trying to see what you think.

Ya I thought about having it as a factional piece of equipment also.Requiring multiple people to use it would be a good idea also.

The E-Web is a heavy weapon. If anyone should get it, it should be Commandos.

Waste I thought it was a heavy rifle, maybe your right. Did'nt Dvader do a post with EU weapons were he said the E-Web was a rifle?

If itrequires a tripod it's a heavy weapon by definition pretty much. Also it is usually a crew served weapon though it can be operated by one person. Which would make it a support weapon at the least.

When I see Rifleman I think your regular infantryman. Has a rifle, maybe a GPMG (general purpose machine-gun). Once you have a weapon system that requires a tripod I think of something like a mortar or heavy machinegun (like the M2HB .50 cal). Which are heavy or support weapons. Which is why I think Commando.

Though real life Commandos don't generallyhave those weapon systems. In SWG the Commando is a heavy weapon specialist and not a real commando as currently defined. Which is why I'd give it to them.

But, to operate it you must be standing up, or at least kneeling...
