Please note: All hell is going to break loose in about 5 weeks with the Combat Balance.
Currently:
Rifleman is better in PvP then Swordsman. Swordsman can still PvP, but they truly shine in PvE.

Im going to be a droid eng. and im looking for a profession like the two stated above. Im looking to pvp once in a while also.
Please help! I have no idea what im doing.

I'd go Rifleman... they totally own 
hehe.. im almost master . will be soon.. not sure about swordsman but im sure all riflemen own swordsmen in PVP.. rifle could be a bit slow at beginning tho 
but its worth it

Combat rebalance has been pushed back to publish 11. Publish 9 goes live on the 22nd of June. At least six weeks to publish 10, proabably more to test out the new FS skills and quests. At least six weeks from that until Publish 11, probably more to iron out the actual revamp.
Combat revamp is at least three and a half months away. Personally, I think it will happen in early October.
