I really don't think there is a way to do it before you earn the /sneak skill. Sorry

I am not anywhere where I can test this, but have you tried going /prone? If you are standing and you hit /stand while you are dizzy, you will fall down even though you did not technically do a posture change. Therefore, going /prone while you are already prone and in cover may be considered a posture change and, therefore, break cover. I would try hitting prone and see if that does it.

strafe2 is reports to remove your "cover". I can't test it either, but if you're online you could...

you can /stand ;/prone it'll give the message about standing up and going prone, but the animation doesn't play. I don't know if you're easier to hit for a moment or not, though I've never been hit while doing it. I do suspect doing this while dizzy would be a bad idea though..

Sneak is soo much better of course

Strafeshot (1 or 2) is supposed to remove your target from cover, not you. Strafeshot2 (and possibly Strafeshot1) is suposed to also delay your target if you removed them from cover. So if you mean "reports" to mean the description says this, it is referring to the target, not you.

However, probably no one canreport how effective it is at either of these tasks since it is obviously supposed to be used against other riflemen (since no one but rifle users can take cover) and since almost no one uses cover in PvP.

You know, I did have something funny happen once...

I believe I was running faction missions and decided to try using /cover just for kicks. After a few shots, the troopers began returning fire and one of them used strafeshot(SS1,I think) on me. In any case, I got the message that 'you have been removed from cover and delayed' or whatever it was. I was pretty upset about this, but at the same time, it was really cool. Too bad it's never happened (and never may happen) in PvP...
