Thread: I'm thinking of doing this templete. Tell me what you guys think?

I'm experimenting with stuff, and I've heard that rifleman is fun (and swordsman too). I want to be able to be a good groupie, and decent in PvP(though I don't pvp much yet).

Anyway the templete I was thinking is
Marksman - 4/0/0/2
Scout - 3/0/0/0
Rifleman - Master
Brawler - 4/0/4/0
Swordsman - Master
TKA - 4/0/0/0

Tell me what you think, and any improvements would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe drop the scout3-0-0-0 and get some Medic skills. At least you could heal yourself after battle.

Hmm. That does sound good. Since I'd be using a bike, and even if the creatures/npcs did run I could always just pop a cap in their ass with the rifle.

Here is the revamped templete
Medic 1/0/0/0
Marksman 4/0/0/4
Brawler 4/0/4/0
Rifleman Master
Swordsman Master
TKA 4/0/0/0

I'm going for this same template. You don't need medic if you've got meditate.

Oh, except I'm going for just 4000 marksman and 3020 scout.

I am currently MHS and MB and have decided to work back up the Rifleman tree instead of MB. I used to be novice rifle and I miss it. I'm still working out my template myself and yours seems fine to me.. I agree with the suggestion of adding some medic though- i have novice medic just so I can use stimB's when I need to.

Good luck,

With the Meditate line in TKA you can heal after battles. Just not during. However the meditate line also allows the healing of poison and disease. It also give you PowerBoost.

So if you are comfortable to waiting after a battle to heal the TKA Meditate line is fine. There is no reason to have both however. To much overlap if you have both based on the skill points you could invest elsewhere. I'd go one or the other.

I hear this a lot and I understand the thinking, but when I'm taking on a high-level mob, I usually end up popping a couple stim B'sthroughout the battle. The tka meditation stuff comes in handy for before the battle in getting powerboost and after the battle to meditate any damage away. Do you ever wish you had the ability to use stim B's, or is it a long-lost and unmissed skill for you?

I had Medic skills prior to mastering TKA. I needed the skill points though and I see them as being very close so it was redundent to have both. The advantage of Medic is you can heal wounds/damage any time during a battle. The advantage of Meditate is that you can powerboost and it heals wounds/disease/poison but not while in combat.

It would be nice sometimes to be able to heal in the middle of combat. But I'm usually fairly careful when picking a target so that with the right prep I usually do ok.

I just don't see the need for both skills. You are better off using the skill points somewhere else. However whichever one you pick you need to know the limitations and pick depending on your play style.
