Thread: Best Profession for solo'ing Krayts?

I am configuring my Alt Charachter for purely solo'ing Krayt and other Dificult MOBs. I alrready Have Master Doctor set in stone, as I want to be able to login buff and hunt without any downtime. Do you feel Rifleman would be the best corresponding Profession?

Hands down rifleman is the best krayt killer. Nothing can compete with a T21 for damage against heavy armor mobs (unless they're energy resistant, of course). Rifleman is good for most other things too, with the exception of the rifle immune nightsisters. Rifleman is still the best ns elder killer, but for all around NS killing a swordsman would be better.
Anyway, if krayts is what you're after, then Master Rifleman/Master Doc will do the job nicely. I do quite a bit of solo krayt hunting and have absolutely no problems (other than stingy krayts! heh). I'm speed capped and use decent T21s, even though I go through them quickly. I do juvies, regulars, and giants without breaking a sweat. Ancients are not worth the time. Giants only take me ~11-14 minutes each (depending on the quality of the T21 I'm using, and yes, I've timed several giants).Regulars are of course much faster, and juvies just fall over deadwhen they see me(use a DXR6b for juvies).
Rifleman doesn't have much in the way of defense against a krayt, so get some good armor and good food. Personally I use 90% composite. You can get away with much less, some good ubese might work well, but I've never tried it. Use whatever food you want, I prefer 2 brandy/3 ahrisa, both with 45+ min durations. That means 0 downtime. I believe a human can get away with just 2 ahrisa and that leaves a little room for something else (I'm zabrak, so I need 3 to get focus high enough for special spamming). Speed tapes do wonders, so get those if you can.
