Thread: another kryat question
Master rifleman for the +90 rifle speed mod and get your self a total of +7 rifle speed attachments to hit the cap and then you should be able to do that A LOT faster!
Unless you are master marksman you rifle speed is at the moment +60 and lets say you have a rifle at speed 7. this means you hit concealshot every 8,4 seconds!
If you get master rifleman you would be at rifle speed +90 and then with the same rifle (at 7 speed) you would hit concealshot every 2,1 seconds!
Get your self those +7 to rifle speed attachments and you will hit (again with the speed 7 rifle) concealtshot every 1 second!
I think you can see the consequense of the speed in which you could take down those krayts! Good luck...

they come in two types-- Clothing attachments (fit in clothes, go figure) and armor attachments (you can guess where they go).
Attachments are placed in an item with sockets.. it'll have a yellow title if it's socketed.
Attachments have bonuses ranging from +1 to +25 on a given skill or skills. For example, a Rifle Speed +3 Armor attachment will grant the user +3 rifle speed when it's a.) put in a piece of armor with at least 1 open socket (it uses up the socket) and b) that enhanced piece of armor is worn.
Attachments may have multiple bonuses. ONLY ONE BONUS WILL BE APPLIED. It goes in order of:
1. highest value
2. Alphabetical
However, an item with an existing bonus will not take a new value if there's another mod present. For example:
a Shirt with +2 melee defense already in it has an AA with +2 melee defense, +1 rifle speed added. Normally, the melee defense would stick. However, since the shirt already has a melee defense mod, the rifle speed sticks, and you end up with a shirt that is +2 melee defense, +1 rifle speed.
fyi: Rifle Speed attachments are highly prized. A +4 attachment on Kauri would go for 2-4 million credits.

Killing endless mummers in Kaadara will get you +1 or +2 attachments. Tuskens drop good stuff very rarely.
The uber +25 attachments pretty much only come from Nightsisters, and the like. However, you can still loot +1 attachments from high level targets-- good attachments come on a VERY low drop rate.
Also, for a while attachments were spawning in the loot chests of some of the POI's (janta cave, borgle bat cave, etc). virtually every server had a few asshats that used 3rd party tools to loot those chests on the 1 hr respawn mark. the end result was the market got flooded with attachments for a short time, til the devs made them stop dropping in those locations.

In terms of per kill, the best place to get high attachments is from boss type mobs. Things like Lord Nyax, Bors Terraud at The Warren, the boss guys at the weapons facility, things like that. That's where mine came from, got a +14 rifle speed from the boss guy (imperial inquisitor) at the naboo weapons facility.The downside to those is that the spawns are pretty long. Second to those, any high level humanoid will drop them, although the rate is pretty depressing. Things like the corvette mobs and nightsisters are popular.
It would be considerably faster to do regular money raising stuff and just buy the attachment though, so I'd suggest you do that. You can still occassionally hunt the other stuff and you might get lucky, but your chances are not very good.
