Im debating on which one, Im master rifleman/master pikeman and just dropped master swordsman to 0444. Im stuck on which one to keep. All ideas on this are appreciated. Thx.

I've seen this question a lot, but don't mind chiming in my two cents. I've never been a swordsman but have grouped with enough to know a decent amount about them.

This question usually boils down to what supplies you currently have and what you plan on doing with your template. Is it for PvE or PvP? Both Pike and Swords have benefits to the rifleman.

- Stacked Block.

- With good looted pikes you can be like a mini-CM and a looted dot polearm is easier to get than every other looted weapon.

- You do get access to one other damage type - Electricity

-There's a reason that most people list Pikeman as one of the professions that needs the most help. It is the worst tanking melee profession, and yet is not the highest offensive melee template, in fact it is probably either worst or 2nd worst offensively.

- Block is the worst secondary defense because even on a successful block you are taking 50% damage.

- Pikeman target the action bar, rifleman the mind.

- It requires looted weapons to be effective in PvP.

- Great tanking class.

- Nice damage type with blast for PvE.

- Targets the mind pool.

- Counterattack will not work when holding a rifle.

So if you are looking for PvE I'd say Swordsman. If you are looking for PvP I'd say pikeman if you either have a lot of money to buy good pikes or you already have a good stock of pikes to use. Good luck.
