Thread: Rifle Bugs 12/22/04

Here is a current list of Rifleman bugs. Please add any others or make corrections. This will be a monthly thread. Or as close to a monthly as I can remember to do it.



  • AoE Bug - AoE attacks not hitting all targets in the cone of attack (old)
  • FS Ranged Mods - Force Sensative Ranged mods are not working for ranged weapons. However Melee mods are effect ranged weapons (new)


  • Berserker Rifle - A part for this weapon does not have a serial number and is uncraftable because of this (old - Loot Revamp Issue)
  • Surprise Shot - Special does not work as description indicates (ancient - CU/R/B issue)
  • AoE and LoS - AoE attacks causing aggro on targets that have no line of sight to the Rifleman (thru walls, different levels, etc) (old - CU/R/B)
  • Stock/Scope Graphics - Stocks and Scopes will not show on factory runs of weapons. They do on hand crafted ones however. Also they will not show when the weapon is equipped (old)
  • SniperShot - Secondary defenses (Dodge/CounterAttack) still work when a target is incap'd and it is possible to 'Dodge' SniperShot (old)
  • Combat Que Clearing - When targeting a lair with an AoE attack. If you kill a MOB that is in the cone it will frequently clear the combat que (old)
  • Prone Warping - When going prone there are occassion where the player will 'warp' a fair amount of distance. This usually has a very negative result on Rifleman as they usualy go prone at or close to max range. The 'warp' frequently takes them out of range to the target (old)
  • Prone Auto-Fire - When going prone,frequently autofire will not work. However specials will. (new)

    This really needs to be a top issue. I for one worked really hard to get my FS Speed only to find that it's broke.

    It is and I understand your frustration. We were asked for a top three bug list. FS Ranged mods was on that list. I'm awaiting an answer on this one still.


    I'll post a sticky as soon as I get info I can share in this regards.

    When you are shooting at something and something else hits you it locks up your combat queue and you must break combat to use specials again.

    How about the Tusken rifle no longer doing kinetic damage? I don't care that much about the Tusken per se, but we don't have a kinetic weapon any more.

    Waste, a wepsmith friend of mine has been hand-making T21's for me that show the stock.

    He says that the issue is that any component made in a factory (aka share serial # with any other object in game) will not show on the rifle.

    So if he pulls a stock from a crate and makes the t21 by hand, the stock will not show.

    OTH, if he makes the stock by hand and puts it in the hand-made rifle it will show.


    Sadly though, other players wont see it unless they have had that weapon in their inventory or seen it hanging on a wall (in both cases the other player's client loads the serial number and displays the stock/scope).

    Is the tenloss DXR6 coming up as uncerted a bug? or is there a cert for it im not seeing?

    added loot weapons do not have cert's in the list - the cert is actually listed on the weapon.

    Two things. One is really minor and easy to fix, that is that Dxr6b rifles sometimes do not appropraitely display certifiaction. The other is that some of the mods on rifles and skill tapes associated with rifles do not work, such as taking cover and rifle crawl speed.

    Well known issue. It's listed above

    Some SEAs have mods for skills that no longer exist or just don't work. I believe all the Rifle Crawl Speed mods were removed last year at some time from Rifles. We can still Sneak. But the Crawl Speed abilities were removed. Hence the skill tape for that is not working. A general clean up of SEAs needs to be done to remove refrences to skills that no longer exist and may be part of the CU/R/B or part of the latter Loot Revamp.
