When u examine a wepons propertys can u explain what it all means (I know different weapons have different propertys but Rifles will do!) and how this info relates to battle and enemys. Also should the stats just be as high as i can get for the weapon i am certified on?
Thanks.

hmmm
well lets see here:
- Certified: means can you use it.. if yes then you can if no.. then do not buy it
- Condition: indicates how far it has decayed - repair if under 25% (it loses abilities at lower then that) (if 0/xxx - throw it out)
- Volume: how much inventory space it takes (useless stat as devs never created anything that takes more then 1)
- Object Creator: person who made the weapon (not on loot weapons)
- Serial Number: just that (not on loot weapons)
- Armor Piercing: None, Light, Medium, Heavy
- Attack Speed: has fast the weapon is before specials (New rifleman prefer this to be as low a number as possible)
- (optional) Skill mods: On loot weapons - sometimes they grant bonus points to a skill
- Damage
- type: energy, acid, stun, kinetic, heat, cold, lightsaber, restraint, electrity, blast (compare against creatures resist)
- Min: minimum damage you will do with weapon before specials (it is more complicated then this but basically correct)
- Max: max damage before specials
- wound: % chance you will do damage to the bar itself not just the pool XXXXXXXOOONNN (where NNN = black, XXX= pool, and OOO = max possible regen now)
- Range Modifiers
- Point Blank: accuracy if you shot at 0m
- Ideal Range: Listed range where you get best accuracy and how good the accuracy is
- Max: the accuracy you have at 64m from the target
- Special Attack Cost (the damage you do to yourself to fire specials)
- Health
- Action
- Mind
- (optional) Damage Over Time
- Type: Poison, Fire, Disease
- Attribute: Mind Action Health (pool targeted by the attack)
- Strength: How much damage it does
- Duration: How long it affects the target
- Potency: how hard is it to get rid of
- Uses: how many times the weapon is used before it can no longer do that attack
- (Optional) Power Up
- Uses Left: same as abov
- Stat 1 it modifies: (many different items it can affect) max 35% - generally as a novice get a speed up
- Stat 2 it modifies: max 15%
- Stat 3 it modifies: Max 3%? (long time since I have seen a 3 stat powerup)
- (optional) Weapon Attributes
- sliced by a smuggler? (nice warning message about illegal items and possible future consequences)

well.... im not at a comp where i can look at an examine window but from what i can remember is there u will see the condition that is how much decay the weapon has taken when it gets to 0/1000(or what ever the max is) the weapon will stop workin, then u might see object creator (if it was a crafted weapon) thats the guy who made it, then u will see Damage Type, there are a few different types such as Heat, Cold, Energy , Blast , Kinetic , Electricity, Stun and Acid different creatures and armors have protections against the different damage types and different guns do different damage types so that u have a variety of weapons to use on diff things across the galaxy. Then there is the Minimum and Maximum damage of the weapon those are the un-modifided, un-mitigated damage stats of the rifle the acutal damageu do depends on the critter or persons defenses and then it depends on their armor, depends on your accuracy and what not. below that there is the Accuracy Modifiers (these may look confusing but arent) it will say sumthin +10 at 64m that is telling u that at 64m from the emeny u are attacking if u are standing still and they are standing still u will get a +10 to ur accuracy. u will also see these numbers to the left of the person or citters name and HAM bars they change u wanna get them as high in the positives as u can. Then below those u will see the HAM costs of the weapon, this will tell u how man Health Action and/or Mind points it will take away from u to do an attack with that weapon, now if u are buffed fully u really shouldnt have to worry about these, they drain from ur main HAM bars but depend on one of ur seconday stats dont remember which one it is though. but gett buffed ne ways and u wont have to worry a bit. If you need ne more info just lemme know
