Every time a mob warps to you fill out a bug report.
If they get 10 to 20k bug reports on the subject per day they might look into it.

Or they may stop fixing bugs all together because they can't read 20k bug reports a day.

KenRhaul,Holo already said that they go more on /bug reports and CSR reports than the forums. Filling out a bug report every time you die to a warping mob is a fast way to get it fixed. If they don't like the amount of /bugs they're getting maybe they should just hire some more people and fix a few of them.

There are still bugs around that I /buged in beta. The massive faction point exploit during the first week was bugged by loads of people, yet it was not fixed. My one major problem with the game is the amount of broken/bugged things in the game.

Warping mobs is not a bug, so /bug reports won't do any good. It was an intentional change by the devs. It was included in the "big" patch and is listed in the patch notes. Here is what the patch notes say along with a link to go check it out:

http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/recent_updates.jsp?o=58032

"CREATURES AND AI

  • Pathfinding bug fixes and improvements, especially in interiors.
  • Stuck AI's will warp past the thing they are stuck on to get to a target
  • Lairs:
    - Reduced frequency that creatures near their lair will 'bluff'
    - The first couple creatures spawned by a creature lair will never be Baby creatures.
    - Increased spawn rate on boss mob lairs, added new boss mob lairs, moved large creature newbie spawns to world/default spawners, expanded newbie spawn regions.
    - Lair defenders will not defend their lair until it has actually been damaged "

  • This cripples any tactics you might try to use for combat creatures/npc's. I agree it needs to go, but reporting it as a bug may fall onto deaf ears since it was "intentional". I posted an thread in the SWG Discussion forum asking to eliminate the warping because it renders tactics useless thus making fighting a war useless.........thus making the game useless.............but my post was ignored.

Actually it still appears to be a bug for the following reason. They are warping past any object in their path. Be it a rock, tree, each other. Tihs occurs if it's in their path. Not if they get stuck on it. Also since this seems to occure most frequently when the creatures aggros I've come to the following conclusion. The AI draws a path between the NPC that went agro and the PC. If there is an obstruction ANYWHERE along that path, regardless of distance from the NPC, it will instantly warp. Even though it is not yet at the obstruction.

A second point. The patch notes say it will warp past the obstruction. What it doesn't say is that it will warp on top of the PC. There is a big difference between warping a couple meters to get past an object and warping 64 meters or more and being in melee range instantly.

Also here is a thread discusssing this. Hoping we can keep this thread going and bumped. Larger amount of replies hopefully the more noticeable it will be.

Hehe, I didn't mean that but I'm sure it's true.

What I mean is that Holo said when the Devsdecide what to fix next they use the amount of /bug and whatever the CSRs say they need fixed instead of what people ask for on the forum. So if everyone does /bug every time a mob warps next to them it will get fixed faster.
